  1. Past hour
  2. It's a start. No one would say he'd turn things around but suddenly the Bombers have a player that teams actually have to account for on defense. It strenghens our middle. We have a run stopper & a pass rusher. it makes everyone around him on the D Line better. Just like on the OL the problems they had with Koala. How can players around him have played better when he was the worst starting center in the league? You wouldn't last very long as a GM shopping at the Dollar Store for players.
  3. Same as Thomas. I've told you I don't agree with more & more inexperienced players coaching at the pro level when you have coaches at U Sport who have more experience that don't. It's done because of the coaching cap. Teams can hire them for cheap.

  6. Don't know what kind of coin Sayles is asking but I think it would be a good move to pick him up....Solid when he played here....give it a shot
  7. I'd put Sayles behind Ceresna, Hutchings and Mustafa Johnson but can't think of any other CFL DTs that are better.
  8. WHY not...based on career Sayles averages more tackle a yr, and only 1 less sack per....and is younger....so quite comparable really if you look at the play of both. Sayles as well is mire durable and misses less time....Not saying he is a guy you spend like a drunken sailor on but a fair deal he is a good piece on your dline, especially if you can add another interior guy to go along with Lawson and him
  9. Tremendous comp. Solid, but not special. If he came cheap enough, I'm fine bringing him to camp, but I'm not going out of my way to pay for a guy like Sayles that we SHOULD be able to find a copy of via recruiting. IMO, he is definitely NOT in the same conversation as a guy like Jake Ceresna, who you absolutely would break the bank for.
  10. Yup I talk way too much about dline upgrades desperately needed but a stud LB would be soooo nice.
  11. Love it. Relentless lunch pail dude who does the dirty work on teams and does it well. Noticed him making a lot of solid teams tackles last year, but people tell me his teams game is much deeper than just chasing kicks...
  12. I'm not saying it's our BB's but Athletes who want to win now who find themselves in a management environment not at that mindset quite yet is always fun to watch.
  13. “I’ve been speaking to (Kramdi and Nichols) both a little bit. Having them back as key parts of the defence is really important. Redha’s our quarterback back there. Same with Deatrick. They’re both really good guys to work with. And they also have kind of the same mindset. We want to win. We want to win now. And we want to be good every day. They have high standards that I like and resonate with. And they help me be a better player. And they’re good dudes, too. They’re pretty funny.” Evan holm just thought was an interesting quote. Definitely regarding Kramdi.
  14. He played 2 years with us and 3 with Hamilton so he falls just outside that 4 year period (we signed him in April 2021).
  15. What if his name was Jake Thomas.
  16. Not necessarily. After he signed his new deal, BLM said it may be a 2 year deal but he's still evaluating things yearly & could very well call it quits after this season. He just has a bit of security knowing he has a contract for 2027 should he decide to continue.
  17. I don’t mind him. He sounds smart and like he knows what he’s talking about. I’d take blm Zach and let’s say Lapo and Sanchez or muamba for the defensive perspective on the panel.
  18. Well. Then don’t complain when we don’t sign free agents really. You can’t bring everyone back and honestly Sergio wasn’t even that great. He’s certainly no medlock. And sayles is gonna cost whatever Hamilton paid him and they think he wasn’t worth it.
  19. For me it's not about $$ it's about finding that absolute force in the middle. Sayles reminds me of Vega. He's above average but not someone who is going to be dominate game in and game out. I wouldn't be disappointed if the Bombers signed Sayles, but I wouldn't want to place all my hope in him turning around the DL....if that makes sense.
  20. Wasn't Sayles a Bomber find in the last 4 years? Woods/Fox/Adams have all been solid but suffered from lack of playing imo.
  21. But he’s a center and an elite one at that. McKenna is a winger. But he can probably drive line 2 immediately but so could stenberg and he’s a center. You can’t go wrong top 5 with verhoff and Lawrence also. And the other D. Reid. Stenberg would be my pick. Plus we seem to like Swedes here. He’d fit in. He’s also ppg player in the shl at 18. Dude is generational. He’s a generational Swede.
  22. I find Mitchell's Texas accent makes him mumble a lot & hard to understand. He can sound incoherent at times.
  23. That first sentence of yours is a narrative that has to be changed for our league.
  24. I sure did enjoy his playmaking abilities at the WJ’s. Regardless the Jets need some infusion of young elite talent to help support their core.
  25. At his age that leg injury was devastating & a career ender. Let's see what he brings to the table as a coach.
  26. Sorta like replacing Sergio Castillo with some random kickers from Hungary, Spain, South Africa, Russia or Venezuela cuz their cheaper, right Goalie?
