Anyone else following them as intently as I am right now? They are on fire after the trade deadline moves.

 

I'm a little concerned that AA left the minor league pitching cupboards a little too bare, especially with the Price trade. Even though they gave up the guys with the highest potential in Hoffman and Castro, I think the return was worth it, since Reyes had regressed so quickly. In getting Price though, AA gave up a couple of guys who would likely have been solid starters in a year or two in exchange for a rental. A very good rental, but a rental none the less. Without the Price move, I'm not sure if the Tulo and Revere moves alone would have provided the morale boost and buzz that we're seeing now that could propel them into the playoffs.

 

The positive thing is that we have most of our current position players returning next year, which will ensure very good defensive play and offensive continuity, but it will be a challenge to pull together a complete starting rotation and bullpen without being pretty active in free agency. Pitchers currently on the roster who they have no control over include Estrada, Buhrle, Price, Hawkins, and Lowe.

Kansas City is better than the Jays are. Top to bottom. Jays are all about the home runs and when they ain't hitting them... they suck.

Maybe they are still hungover from winning absolutely nothing of importance the last series. They partied like they won the world series

Agree with Goalie 100%. What other sport does this happen in? Could you imagine a team breaking out the champagne in the NHL or NFL after a first round playoff win. Pretty sure most of us would think they are clowns.

Jays were down 2 zip to rangers too. Teams do lose. Imo jays were the better team in game 2 price was putting on a clinic till the 7th. 1 bad inning can be costly and was. In game 1 I thought they just didnt swing the bats enough hoping to gas the pitcher who was refusing to throw anything but outside the zone. Thats not how they won as they have. I expect they play better next 3 home games and series goes 7

Hello no. Price 6 strowman game 7* - considering the jays were 1 bad inning from being up 3-2 right now (kcs 5-0 gm1 & 14-2 gm4 were all kc) I dont think its impossible for the jays to win 2 and move on. If thats the case tho our bullpen wont get much of a rest after gm7 and the mets will be rested having swept the cubs. But at this point if kc starts lighting up price, do what u need to do and maybe get estrada in gm7 if you need to use stro early

It was said cecil would be back for the world series if they make it and id switch buehrle in for dickie to put some fresh (er) arms back in the rotation
