Adrenaline_x
I find this interesting. You think they would have their cycles figured out so it would be out of their systems before the combine.
James
I think the whole **** show last year has made players realize that it doesn't matter. Quinn Smith gets busted and still goes in the first round? I don't think they care anymore
Jacquie
I think I'll wait until a more substantial report is out rather than automatically believe a rather vague article. If it's true the CFL will make an announcement soon.
IC Khari
Non official, vague articles produce much more less informed discussion about topics, thereby generating long pointless threads full of bravado and statements about who was right and stuff ... carry on

DR. CFL
Clearly testing hasn't been the deterant that it was prescribed to be.

Goalie
4 guys i never heard of and then that receiver who caught everything apparently at the E Camp.
Mike
I'd still take Norzil in the later rounds.
Goalie
Just a thought but does failing these tests even matter? I mean what was the guys name? QUINN SMITH i think, Calgary took him in the first round last year, he failed the drug tests at the combine too. Does it really matter?
Atomic
Saint Mary's with 4 players. Someone there must have given them bad advice on how to beat the tests. Saint Mary's needs to fire that guy.

JuranBoldenRules
I'd still take Norzil in the later rounds. Agreed. Weird that a guy like Abankwah would take what the East German swimmers did. Usually expect it more from LB/DL/OL/FB types.

Saint Mary's needs to fire that guy. Good point. Wonder if they'll have to deal with what Waterloo did. Probably not, given how massive that program is to the AUS. Tracker
More proof that Canadian athletes in universities simply do not have the sophisticated and ongoing nudge-nudge, wink-wink support US athletes get over and above the intense coaching. Its remarkable that any homegrown football players get a sniff at the NFL.
ddanger
You're all missing the point: how the heck can CFL prospects afford the really good drugs? Good point. Until the CFL ( and really the NFL and NHL ) get serious about testing, this problem will never go away.
Tracker
In reality, the problem is not going to go away, as long as there is incentive for athletes to use and higher-ups to profit from it. It costs a lot of money to develop, deliver and supervise GCMS testing, but there's a lot more money to skirt or fudge them. When Ben Johnson got nailed, there were at least two other gold medalist runners who tested positive, one from Britain and one from the US but it was swept under the rug. Having a whole bunch of medaling dirty athletes in Seoul would have stained the games, so it was hushed up. Might as well throw it all open and be done with it. Saint Mary's needs to fire that guy. Possibly but more likely one brainiac with a bad idea and 3 collaborators to help defray the cost.
