For DL Thaddeus Gibson

@Darren_Cameron: TRADE: #Bomber have acquired INT defensive lineman Thaddeus Gibson from Toronto, in exchange for INT defensive back Alex Suber.

Good trade. We need help in the DL while we have 3 vet DBs on the IR that cant make it to the lineup.

What's the scouting report on Gibson? Is he a starter?

I really liked Gibson in the pre-season game here.  But he's been so-so since.

Really like this trade. I like Gibson a lot, he's just been a victim of the numbers game in Toronto.

 

Probably one of those deals you can call a win-win for each team. Gibson probably won't start here now that Vega is good to go again, but I'm glad to have him.

Ya, adding a pass rushing defensive end is going to shore up the run D. 

Nice to add another DL to the mix. Glad Suber gets a shot to play, always liked him.

Good trade for both teams areas of need and depth.

Sad to see Suber go. I was always a fan, even if he tapered off a bit last year with the rest of the D. Looks like both teams get what they want and need.

So much this. Guy was a great player for us for a lot of years, I hated seeing him buried on the depth chart and not even getting a chance to earn his way back on the field. 

The last remaining member of the Swaggerville is gone.

Agreed. Glad to see Suber get a chance to play. He deserves it, nothing but a class act while he was here.

I'm happy that Suber is going to get a chance to play, he deserves it.  He is a class act on & off the field.  It's a double bonus for him in that he's going to a team that is more than likely going to be playing in the Eastern Final.

He played mostly OLB in high school but has played primarily DE since then. Decent speed, probably a little erratic.

Like that we got talented players that made it tough for our other talented players to get on the field.  Also like that Suber gets a chance to make some more plays before his time in the CFL is done.  He's a 110%-er.

 

Not really familiar with him; sounds like Gibson plays at end.  If he's healthy he'll probably get a chance to dress at some point.

D-line needs more rotation, if they can work Gibson in that would be great.

Just glad that Walters is at least aware that we needed help on the defensive line. That goes a long way to letting me have more faith in him. That nonsense about no room for Hall really had me worried.
