Even then, the controllers are way too complicated for this 43 year old man. I could handle my Genesis for NHL 97 just fine....now....there's way too many buttons/joysticks going on. You know what game got me closest to buying one? The new Bassmaster video game where you can play as Jeff "Gussy" Gustafson (from Kenora) on the pro bass fishing tour. Ha ha. I agree it looks daunting, but if you give it a shot with a bit of patience- it will eventually be second nature. Age has nothing to do with it- there are a nice selection of quality of life and accessibly settings that can make a game more friendly to someone just playing for the story. You can literally customize the different areas of difficulty. I'm 48 and have no problems with the controllers- granted, with every new game the controller map out changes and it takes some time to get used to. Also, the jump from wii or n64 controller to PS5 or Xbox controller is not that huge. But seriously, just jump in and try it out- I personally think that some of the best story telling these days is in these games. I still want to continue it but I've been short on time. --------- I finally watched and finished Picard. That was a lot of fun but not really sustainable.
