God these quotes from Banks are refreshing.  Not enough guys like him on our roster right now.

  • The only logical conclusion I can come to is that this trade stemmed from Kito not wanting to give up the jersey number.

The last time we picked up a proven leader from BC (Barrin Simpson) it played a large part in making our defence, which had been the worst in the league the previous year, respectable. Let's hope hist

Seems like a steep price, doesn't it?

WOW

Kito wasn't in our plans. I like the move lots.

Steep? An established player for who? Maybe they'll move Kito to defence so he can continue to not catch the ball. BC just got the clone of Foster back in a trade.

He had 3 CND receivers ahead of him. Looks like Kohert will back.

Not a big fan of this. Granted Kito's time here has been a bit of a let down but I'm not particularly a fan of giving up a young non import for an aging import. I'd hate (and wouldn't be surprised to see) Kito do well with the system that B.C. has and Lulay throwing him the rock.

Two of which are soon to be free agents, and the other can't stay healthy.

Can't wait for the training camp reports out of BC how good Kito looks and he's about to have a break out season. Then... The games happen.

Very very interesting.  Happy to have acquired Banks, who can hopefully make a positive change on our defence..... I am assuming that there will be a new contract for Banks though?  If he was unwilling to play out his option for BC, I would think we need a new contract to get him to play here?

Pooo blaaa ... which describes my reaction and Kito's play.

What a horrible trade. We still don't even know if Kohlert will come back or not, to mention there's still the possibility Etienne hasn't re-signed.

Not sure how I feel about this. Granted Kito's time here has been a bit of a let down but I'm not particularly a fan of giving up a young non import for an aging import. I'd hate (and wouldn't be surprised to see) Kito do well with the system that B.C. has and Lulay throwing him the rock.

I agree.  I would have liked to have seen him involved this season a little more.  I truly believe he still has the skills to be a decent pass catcher.

When he wasn't injured that is ...

I fully expect the Bombers to bring Stephen Alli to camp.

On the face of it…Banks for Poblah…I really like it.

But…I'm a little anxious that, like Mr. Perfect has stated, we trade an NI for an import.

But…there are surely particulars that we are unaware of, such as…impending signings.

While I agree with Blue and Golds concerns I am not sure counting on Kito as a starter was likely still the driving force behind making this deal.

traded a benchwarmer with seemingly declining upside for a veteran star talent?  Sure, works for me.

So I had no use for Poblah just because receivers who can't catch don't appeal to me but man.... we have to give up potential (which some GMs over value a lot) for a 34 year old player? Seems steep to me.

Everyone should probably keep in mind that while Poblah had potential, he also had a contract that was nowhere near what he is actually worth.

The two kind of balance out into an average piece. Poblah was making over 100k a year.

A fart is a potential heat source if you put a match to it and don't get burnt.

I don't see Poblah as potential anymore, and trading him for a proven player is a step in the right direction.

Joe Mack loved 'potential' and look where it got us.

What I like about this trade is that there is one clear cut leader in secondary now.
