Do the Bombers have a say in all the FAs we have to sign or do circumstances exist where we have no chance?

 

For me, at least to get to TC:

 

Desirable signings - Some for obvious reasons, some for NI content, some for experience:

 

Henoc Muamba, Chris Matthews, Jade Etienne, Brandon Stewart, Will Ford, Jovon Johnson, Akeem Foster, Kenny Mainor, Justin Sorensen, Marc Parenteau.

 

Signings if it makes sense - Again, ratio-wise and depth, new signings:

 

JT Gilmore, , Ryan Lucas, Chris Cvetkovic, Chris Kowalczuk, Dan West.

 

Not a Priority - Injuries….

 

Chad Simpson, Andre Douglas.

The Bombers have 79 60 players listed on their roster page including all eligible FAs.

There are 34 imports and 32 26 NIs.

2 less potential FA's - Ryan Lucas & Chris Kowalczuk have been resigned per Darren Cameron.

This off-season just gets more and more underwhelming. These two guys are probably the absolute lowest priority signings we have.

So you'd prefer we didn't sign them at all? Or just sign them and not announce it? I don't get the negative spin on this. It just "is".

I'd like to see them sign Jade. He was looking pretty good until he almost got decapitated by some Rider thug in the LDC.

Yup given the huge investment of time and money, it would be nice to see the Bombers finally get a return. Right now he's like an investment in a wind farm, lots of dough spent but very little power generated.

I would as well. We traded Kito, Kohlert is a question mark and Watson has injury concerns. 

 

Wasn't there talk around the expansion draft of Etienne having a contract in place already?

Actually, I was hoping we would upgrade from Lucas and Kowalczuk going into camp...  Nobody is coming after them anyway.

Hell, Lucas might end up starting for us this season. If it comes down to Muamba at safety or Lucas at DT, I'll take Lucas.

They need to sign anyone willing to come here to this circus.

You might want a neg list of QBs that know zero about what has happened in Winnipeg

Now that Burris is in Ottawa I wonder how it's going to affect Kohlert's decision next week. Over the last two seasons Hank threw for over 10,000 yards. That's got to be an attraction.

I love Kohlert, but given the choice I'd take Craig Butler over him every time.
