He literally almost cost them a game they led by 3 TD's with a fumble and not catching kickoffs last week. The Bombers lead the league in big play returns with 6. Pay ******* attention if you going to

...so you don't think bringing in a washed returner with 18 career targets in 78 games could help with the receiving corps?

Hopefully Clercius and Schmekel can play this week. Clercuis for Corcoran and Schmekel for Kornelson would help.

It was mostly covering deep third or quarters. They picked him apart vertically, struggled with locking in on intermediate routes on bad reads, getting caught with dead feet. They know how to mix him up and he doesn't adjust.

Really the biggest danger against VA. He can't be consistently accurate in the intermediate. So don't get beat deep, don't blitz him, let him rot in the pocket.

true...hence hopefully our coaches didnt screw the pooch in recognizing and adjusting and have him play a traditional safety..so he doesnt have to actually be in coverage and always beat and in trail position..stay up top...trust the eyes...and flow to the ball as over the top security...if he cant be trusted to do this...he should be off the roster...

Long way to go for a sellout tomorrow.

My biggest concern is that we are going to bring Hallett on the field in our two safety sets... if we really need a second Canadian in the back 8, it better be Kelly and Smith with Jackson playing the second safety role... I don't know anything about Jackson but I'll trust @wbbfan and @Booch 's analysis on him...

My overall concerns with the team still remain...

Defense: On on the back end of the D, Holm is basically the only reliable player... Williams has been ok but is prone to mistakes... Moxey doesn't look like the answer at corner... and despite is all-star pedigree, Nichols has gone from stud to liability real quick this year...

Offense: the OL has had their ups and downs... hopefully we see an up game against Calgary's strong DL... we desperately need a playmaker at receiver... Wilson and White are both solid, but neither is a game changer... if had a true #1 with Wilson, White, and Demski as the secondary options, this O would be absolutely humming... not sure where this magical stud WR is coming from... but one can wish!

Somebody tell Williams they are going to pump and go on him a bunch.

No reason to bring Hallett on the field...We have 6 Canadians on offence so only need 1 on defense...if thats how we set the ratio...So just Kelly alone on every snap is all we need. But Smith rotating in will not hurt us and in certain down and distance where its more than 5 yards...swapping him in for Jones or Wilson and even taking out Kelly and putting Jackson at safety would make our defense more than good. @DTonOB can you clarify/confirm for us what our ratio requirements are for offence/defence as it doesnt actually say on any depth chart

I think Griffin has been our most reliable guy not playing on the dline...All around he possess the best game of anyone....Fast....Physical...can cover 1 on 1...can actually tackle and doesnt dive at shins...He's been our best guy all 6 games...Holm has been steady as Holm is...but has his weak spots and still think he be best served for us as a safety

I will bet anyone we wont miss Kramdi at all this game...and I bet we may even see one of our better defensive performances to date...Especially if we use the roster right and dont exclude Smith and Jackson from quality reps

Who subs in for the new dime pack is the thing to watch for sure. If we are going with hallett and kelly we are gonna get cooked. I hope thats not it, but im not holding my breath.

Williams has been the best db by a decent bit this year, he's faced the most pressure at his spot but done very well. He's had a couple rookie plays, but the rest of the secondary is regularly confused and making evne worse mistakes. It's time for the famous JY mid season secondary adjustment. Any game now, please? lol

agreed on Griffin, no complaints about him... I was more focusing on the 4 "traditional" cover roles in my analysis

I think if Jackson was brought on..and the position he plays..the smart bet is he would be the guy coming in..skill wise and physically..he fits that role perfectly being a bigger body...but this is osh we talking about..he could stand on sideline all game and not see a snap..defensively or special teams ...just like Hazen 2 weeks back

Over 30k sold as of yesterday = more than any other team draws.

Holm is probably the best man cover guy in the league.

Would be nice to see him in a scheme a lot more focused on that than trying to guess which route is coming.

You could have him and Cam Allen lock down the boundary.

Pretty much...And moving him up to help in run isnt his best use..he just not physical enough and for all.his good traits he is weak at tackling and rarely can bring a guy down immediately

He should be used kinda like how we used Bolden..no real position per say..just moved around and coverd a teams best guy 1 on 1..and schemed the rest around that. Considering we are adding extra db types constantly it would almost mimic what we did using a true.3-4 with 4 legit playmaker lbs..hes no Bolden but as a pure cover guy he'd be pretty good...especially with over the top help

Am I wrong to be a little worried about Kelly?

Also, couldn't they have started say Smith for Kyrie and gone with somebody else at S?

Can honestly use the depth chart as ass wipe. Will have to see how they deploy guys in the game.

He's improved, but by that I mean he's gone from a Dumpster fire to the usual level of NI we stretch into a role they shouldn't be in. He's better then Korny. If he keeps improving at the rate he has this year, he might actually be worth playing the reps he gets before the play offs.

DT said something in a recent broadcast to the effect of "the Bombers see Kelly as a future starting Safety..." So maybe he's best suited to that particular spot?? I dunno.. cause I see the same thing as you guys... Looks like Mostly a liability out there....

I prefer him there over anywhere...and also Kramdi..even tho many here think hes legit as a top tier starter...again if this configuration starts to really click..and dixon and woodbey get added to really tighten up the defence..where does kramdi fit?

Situational rep guy and depth?

Nice to have your dad tweet about you, I guess.

So does Ethan go by Ballsy Jr?

Lol. Zach knows that competition goes on everyday as well. He probably felt the same way about the starting qb before him when he took over the Argos in 2013 or 14. Likely Ricky Ray when he was injured. "I respect the guy but..."
