I love to counter pressure with asymmetrical sets and heavy motion. Really put the secondary in a bind. 
Use ncaa style fast rpo, no step or one step throw screens. Throw to the area the defense vacates to pressure, or take advantage of miss matches like slot on lber or rb on db in hitches and quick hitters. Mesh is great vs pressure too. 

They to running vs pressure is to vary up the run touches to keep the D off kilter. Wide and outside zone are great to punish over pursuit, and draws. People tend of thin of draw only as an inside run from the gun, but you can delay toss to punish the edge, you can run search with delay or off a pump fake etc.

he isn’t the best db on the team either, Nichols is better and worlds better tackling and filling a run fit. Griffin is better too. worlds more physical, versatile, and more steady in coverage.

That said, I could see kramdi being lured back to mtl, and I think nichols could chase a ring on a contender. I think holm is likely to get another raise. He basically played close to the level we paid him at, but we paid him way early. 

Holms consistency and ability to stay healthy despite a pretty slight build/frame is very impressive. Especially for a twitchy closing speed guy. 

I expect us to go to camp with some thing like allen woodbey holm griffin houston with bond and parker fighting for spots. At sam I think ayers, makonzo and smith fight for it. Maybe woodbey or griffin slide to that spot as well.

Thats something also that ZC was never good at really either.

Yeah...Holm is good...the best...irreplaceable....hardly

Osh made a comment about him and fans and media just ran with it....re-watch every game...he got exposed more times than he made impactful plays...or teams schemed away from him...if anything they attacked his side of field more

I don't say we have to dump him...but if we can get better...or even as good with a younger guy...a physical one as well...for half the cost almost...u do it

We havnt won a cup with him so not like he was a lynchpin on defence

People need to realize if u can get better...and ar game time fix the sms...u do it..

He would have with constant slide protections...moving line and pocket and throwing from different points on the field....sprint and roll outs as our basis of attack....or with a scheme where we didn't basically eliminate parts of the field and have some receivers basically schemed out of any benefit...we were screwd from get go due to an OC with zero clue

Hard to say about Holm, how much of those times he was exposed was due to having new and underwhelming corners. I would be inclined to let OShea and Walters determine worth

And why we have a weak...shallow and eroded roster...letting Osh soley determine worth

Holm was targeted extensively the previous yr as well..not just this...and the areas that teams attacked for most part were not corner related.

If it isnt...we continue to slide...late dec and early Jan will dictate what we are doing and set the narrative...at moment...I'm not optimistic...but maybe they came to the realization we need to do some significant changes right now...or be faced with a total rebuild/retool and the fact that if they flop hard again...they won't even be part of it...

Our back end on defence this yr..was the biggest group of powder puffs in the league..no intimidator at all

I would love to see someone run that style of O though. With legit big TEs and Brady and demski in the back field, with a QB that can run. Two big body Wrs. Today's CFL defenses would have a hard time with that.

Yeah...there needs to be a new oc mind come in and evolve into that...use a true TE on routes...power run game with multiple looks...multiple options...with guys like Bo here..MCi..CLercius...Demski...Add a Philpot or a cruiser like Scott III  to the mix...against a unsuspecting defense coordinator ..good luck with yiur undersized Lb crew handling that for 60 mins...and the secondary would part like the red sea for your burner ...twitchy receivers as they try to adjust to the meat tenderizing they getting exposed too

not corner related?? Did you see how often Bridges, then Bonds, then Lawson were torched? And how whenever opposing teams needed 6-10 yds they just threw the quick out? We gave up a lot of deep passes and on almost every one a corner was beaten

And how much inside..tons...interior flats...I was talking bout Holm...and his area of responsibilities 

I've been on record saying bridges sucked...and bonds regressed

But the atracking on the inside..intermediate middle...quick shots off tackle...had nothing to do with the corner...they went at Holm/Kramdi area....not Nichols...Wilson ...there a reason...they went after the weaker DB's

The soft coverage for a a quick out as well can be attacking the scheme where the hb has to recognize and take away...if ...and is usually the case the outside guy runs a straight go route...how's that shot to the flat his issue....he leaves his guy and deep shot for easy 6...that's the inadequate play of the Hb and sam not reacting well enough

What was our Head Coach doing all season long? He talks like he didn't coach & just checked out leaving any responsibilty to others on the coaching staff. See,ms like Osh has just been coasting. Saying he has to take more responsibility in the day to day coaching of the team is just flabbergasting for a head coach of 12 years to even admit that. Then his comments in 2024 that training camp was too easy & laid back which led to our 0-4 start & a rash of long term injuries. Like, WTF??? How did Osh earn a 3 year deal coaching like that to hamstring the team if he just carries on like before????
