That last drive was a microcosm of our season. No heart. No urgency. No execution. Terrible play calling. This is RedBlacks football and I hate it.

**** if that game didn't feel like each of the last 3 Grey Cups.

I'll say it again...coaching is just killing us...over and over

This team shows as poorly prepared save for the odd anomaly here and there

The roster is chalk full of poor coaches decisions and when you have in game injury issues rarely are we covered with the glut of ST guys who's only use is on ST and are a detriment if they have to go in...our overall roster is garbage ad we have maybe 2 actual superstar/difference makers

We can't adjust to the game flow and repeatedly get out coached in second halfs...but we show/have no urgency to fix anything cause we claim we have all these starter quality guys and they will review the "film" and work it out...well we 16 games in season now..and are teetering into falling into 5th place

We let our roster rot to what it is now..a lot of well paid guys who can't cut it...and way too many guys with no business even being on roster...but coach loves em...so we hooped

We are definitely a mess and in serious need of a reboot...Sadly...all avoidable if we turned guys on roster over more liberally..paid guys who were top notch...instead of letting walk...and going after FA studs that could have supplanted some of our slugs...who cares how long they been here...if you can upgrade...u upgrade....we mismanaged a legit team of the ages and turned it into almost a joke now

Who knows if any of the guys we brought in but cut in lieu of all these long in the tooth coaches faves were better....but its obviously it couldn't been worse...and if anything they were young with possible upside...not old...declining...zero upside...and several who really just sucked anyway and prob wouldn't be rostered anywhere but here...but that's what happens when you look back..4..5 yrs and not forward...and Osh's comment at beginning of season says it all and I flagged it even then

"You look at a guys film from years past and see the success, and that's what they bring here" or something to that effect...and thats just crap way to build your roster...and we been seeing it in real time for 3 yrs now.

Factor in some bad coaching...and poor in game management...well u get what we've witnessed

Do you think for next season we bring back LaPo for round 3 (or is it 4 now?)

It would be round 4. OC in 02 and 03, HC 10-12, OC 16-19.

Pretty sure lapo was their plan this year and he declined

100% this...it's why it took so long to announce an OC. They tried to back the dump truck up to his door and he still said no.

He wanted no part in sullying his rep with being hamstrung with how and who we roster...don't blame him

Ok, I could suggest taking half an hour to watch the condensed game, with cooler heads

Most of the first half was not bad at all. They were using BO effectively & completing some intermediate passes. O was pretty similar to what it was 2 weeks ago

After the TD on 3 and 4...ZC started mostly chucking deep and the rest was all too predictable

No, but we could do worse, and have.

I don’t think so, I think it was bourgoins, but they moved way to slow and lost out on him so they pivoted to hogan.

Tbf, I don’t think lapo would say no to a cfl coach job as oc or higher.

same guy went to ott, brought in matt nichols and a host of unimpressive players.

Yt isn’t growing for him sadly, and he has seen his tsn work reduced greatly.

Back breaking int right before the half (how many times have we seen that this year?) Followed up with the useless 3rd quarter... not a good look but been the way this team has rolled all season

By the looks of it ,lm glad i was "lost" in the boonies for the weekend. Might as well plan for next year.

It's a 10 - 10 tie so let's try a 50-50 ball...what could possibly go wrong?

Being at the game sadly they weren’t even 50-50 balls, either well under-thrown or well overthrown into double coverage.

yep,  can go back to last year on that too. 3rd quarter and end of the first half has been our kryptonite.

Usually both lol, more like 20/80 balls.

I dont see it happening.

Lapo seems happy with his flag football gig.

I added the arrow to show where the ball dropped...    that ball was at least 8 - 10 yards under thrown.

Collaros and maybe the OC are assuming that he still has the arm strength and accuracy of 5 years ago. He doesn't, at least on a consistent basis.

Best pass was the long one to BO that was slightly tipped. That one was a changer.

Yup BO got in behind the coverage. Defender made a great play on the ball and changed it’s trajectory just enough or BO could have trotted it in for 6.

Wilson's circus catch too....nicely underthrown....a lot of the balls that were caight this yr that were deep...even deeper intermediate were underthrow, and rarely hitting a guy in stride

And no...they were not backside shoulder tosses like TSN likes to yammer on about...Thats a totally different kinda pass, and thrown with a trajectory to them...not floating ducks dropping out of the sky like they were shot

Yep, it's matt nichols all over again. The final move of any deep route is coming back to the ball and not by a small adjustment either. Difference is, nichols could manage the game. If we do that like we did vs hamilton, we got a chance. If we don't, we've got no shot.

Collaros has not put together two good games back to back all year, so the odds are really stacked against us.

You have to go back to about mid-2023 to see the last time Zach had 2 good games back to back. He had 3 in a row, and 2 to start the year. Which indeed makes for long odds against us.

If he's just ok, 70%, 8+ ypa, 250+, 1 td, no picks for all the rest of our games, we have a chance. If we get that Zach and the dominant run game we could have, we have a good chance. But our run game is boom or bust, and even when it's booming, we don't lean on it. In his 3 best games this year, Brady is averaging 8.7 ypc and 15 carries. We won 2 of those games and were close in all 3, but even then we couldn't/wouldn't pound the rock.

Since week 10 (9 games), we've given up an average of 19.77 points per game. Including 31 to Toronto, 34 to the riders, and 32 to the stamps. We've only given up more than 34 points once this year. With the insane amount of turnovers/defensive scores we've given up, as well as the amount of TOP and yards against us, that's pretty crazy. We have some of the fewest ints, TFL, sacks, etc, but we've given up the fewest TDs.

This week - good game - clinch playoff spot.

Next game - bad game - no effect on standings

Eastern semi - good game - win that one

Eastern final - bad game - sneak out with a win because Vaval scores 3 return TDs

Grey cup - good game we win

Easy.

I’m gonna go a different route after thinking about this a minute.

1. Linebackers in general. - rankin was carrrying jones and kyrie for multiple yards.

2. Zach - you just can’t under throw balls like that and throw into double coverage. Seems like the actions of a man who knows his on field actions have no consequences cuz he knows Osh will play him even with a broken hand.

3. younger - I’m sorry but the 3rd and 2 65 yard untouched rankin run was probably the real turning point. Ppl blame the O but our D gave up a TD untouched 65 yards on 3rd and 2.  People love to go after the OC or head coach but constantly let younger off the hook eventho the D has been as much of a joke as the O and honestly even more so cuz when the O actually does score the D gives it right back the next drive. It’s a theme. Our D sucks. Might not allow a lot of points but sure give up the yards. It’s so passive it’s insane.

HM to Ontaria Wilson who really probably was the reason we make the playoffs over Edmonton with his ridiculous catch.

HH Vaval. Dude is rookie of the year in the league. It’s a joke if he doesn’t win it.

Only 3 return TDs for Vaval? Why limit him?
