Hot routes aren't designed to be thrown over the middle. Although they can be. They are all quick passes designed to exploit a defense who blitzes & vacates a space. The receiver would catch a pass when the defender blitzes & leaves said space.

I'm aware. The blitz the riders were sending often left the middle of the field wide open. A rec never filled it.

Which is where the dearly departed Wolitarski thrived.

Drew was ok but some of you misremembering how important he was. This fascination with drew and Kenny like they make a difference when there’s dudes in and on the qb almost as soon as the ball arrives at times is wild.

I dunno. Some teams run an offense where there isn't a lot of hot routes & sight adjustments. I do know the receivers & qbs have to be on the same page when it comes to recognizing coverages & what routes will be run so the ball can be placed where it's supposed to be. It could also be communication or the type of offense Hogan runs.

I agree. Hot routes or not, there was a lot of blitzing from the Riders which left a lot of open space available in the middle. Nary a Bomber receiver in sight though. Is that on the receivers, Collaros' audibles (Does he even call them?) or an OC, who can't seem to "adjust at half-time"?

I mentioned it earlier in the week, but that's how Khari and Milt made a living back in the day. They both just knew where to go and when to go there.

If only we had prime milt right now.

has our coaching not hammered that into the heads of the receiver's?....that and also how/where/when to break off routes?...

At some point, I think Players need to understand that themselves. Like this isn't Demski's first rodeo. He would be an absolute monster blitz beater.

accountability for poor play....have they not mentioned that??..lol....I being funny and somewhat joking but think also leads to complacency and lack of urgency/effort at times from players we seem to witness...nobody is worried about finding a place on the bench....or PR

Some the guys we parked on PR after being on roster didnt do anything to earn that demotion

Pitch and catch. Boom.

Maybe it’s more on Zach or the fact by the time Zach gets the ball he has pressure coming up the middle cuz Kolo ole’d again. O starts with the O line. Ours is the worst in the league. Our oline is like how dark it is by 9pm now. Not very long ago it was light until after 10. Now it’s dark by 845 830 ish. Not very long ago our oline was good, now they suck.

I’m not sure who is worse honestly. Zach and Strev have both been pounded almost every game.

At this point the elks are getting better and we are getting worse. We will lose to the elks.

Who was the OC when they were tearing up the league.

Worman was 2001 and Lapo in 2002. I also seem to recall that Khari and Milt had such a connection that they adlibbed a lot.

I recall Worman being more than willing to take deep shots

Also 2002 was pretty easy mode for an offensive coordinator... prime milt stegall, arland Bruce, Charles roberts, Mike sellers, Robert Gordon....

I don't remember if he was 2002 or 2003... at some point in that era we dabbled with elowonibi at centre.

2000 as well the offence was coming into form with Khari, Milt, Simon, Gordon.
IIRC there was 2 co-co-ordinators that year

Milt and Glenn as well. That 4 touchdowns on 4 catches is a game I'll always remember.
