He'd pick the Bombers to lose on their bye week.

  • This era for the Bombers has been an unbelievable ride and the bounce back the club has had with the city since hiring O'Shea way back has been incredible.

  • I liked what I saw from Cooley and would love to see him get more reps.   He seemed to be a guy like Charles Roberts who can do quick cuts and find holes but with the added benefit of being build like

I’d consider making some changes this week with the only dangerous when mobile and improvising ford at QB. Jon Jones would get in. I’d get Mitchell on this week also (something about playing old teams theory) Kyrie can come out. I’d get vanterpool in for Randolph. Wallace was fine. Randolph and Bryant struggled and it had nothing to do with the center. That’s just hilarious honestly. Bryant getting beat isn’t cuz of Kolo.
Randolph tho gives me takes plays off vibes where vanterpool does not. Cooley looked good. He can stay on. Not sure how you make it all work ratio wise but on would be J Jones, Vanterpool Mitchell. Off would be Kyrie Randolph and prob Sterns. Then you get Bailey on for Weitz cuz backup end is needed desperately with the aging ends we start. I’d consider benching Jefferson honestly for 1 game and inserting person. Thomas shouldn’t be getting 70 percent of the starters reps either. I’d also, Tony Jones leaves a lot to be desired honestly. I dunno. Yeah tackles but most are after yards gained it seems. I just think he’s average. Why not Ayers at Wil J Jones in the middle. Kramdi for ratio purposes. Griffin and the cdn kids backing up.

Bryant got beat bad...maybe once...and yeah that's a maybe...and obviously you don't understand how an oline works...starting from center...he fucks up...it makes issues for the guys outside of him...whether u belive that or not

As for WJ...that bc olineman is a turd...When WJ went up for a pass knockdown on the td the olineman tried to lift him higher to toss him...and couldn't and WJ threw him to the ground...that's from some players mouths btw...not my "opinion " and when I went to the rewatch you can see the oline guy attempt it...and it cut away...but u see WJ toss him down...and he didnt like it and started the scrum

I hopefully will get a peak at the all 24 but I doubt WJ gets any discipline for that

I don't expect to see any D changes with it being a short week and MOS being MOS.

Guarantee we will be spying ford and playing more edge contain.

I meant roster changes but what you say makes sense.

Roster wise, yeah idk. Think it likely depends on injuries and if wj gets suspended.

J.Jones would be the active linebacker to us in a quasi spy scheme...Thinking of T.Jones chasing around after Ford already has given me nightmares

I dont believe last yr we really did a spy per say did we?

You don't really need to spy him if you're not bringing pressure. Send 3, make him find the open rec downfield.

We did with him and rourke, and maybe a bit faj or vaj. Kyrie was doing it. It was a fairly deep spy though, not right on the line.

Thats true, but JY seems to want to blitz more this year. And to be fair, his DB/lb edge packages are reasonably effective.

Man. Got Neufeld confused with lofton. I did a Saskatchewan roughriders preseason 2 announcer thing where I confused a white man with a black man. Good lord.

after watching again, oline seemed ok actually, BC aren’t exactly slouches defensively. And back to back makes it tougher. Zach started on fire but ended in flames.  I’d get Mitchell on tho for sure because I think he’d want to prove something to Edmonton but Sterns seems to be a guy Zach likes. and prob Bailey instead of Weitz and leave it as is unless Brady good to go. Then you can take off Cooley and add your extra DE Like person who seems to be a hybrid type of guy who can rush the qb and drop into lb coverage. Versatility would seem to be a good thing. Dude should get a chance.

it’s funny tho. Thought Zach would light it up cuz seems like he’s got the chip on the shoulder from the suspension but, he didn’t. And he’s still making dumb throws into double coverage and under throwing guys. Zach making rookie mistakes. The mistakes we half expected Streveler to make. If comparing Zach and Strev after 2 games, Streveler looked much better.

Kilam looked completely out of his element last week. Either that, or he absolutely despises Fajardo.

Ford going against the best secondary in the CFL might wind up a slaughter.

Bombers either blow them out or play down to their level. There’s no in between here honestly. Honestly it comes down to Zach and the O. We all want changes at times but most those changes on D, our D is already very good. Our O tho with Zach recently? It hasn’t been.  Without the Parker fumble return, yeah, the O didn’t do much. Wheatfall seems to be the new lawler tho so that’s nice. This is how the O looked last year without Brady also.

For the last while all I think about when it comes to the Elks is trap game. Gone are the powerhouse days of the Double E.

I think our D will be fine this week, but our offense vs that DL could be a challenge...

You need to spy him as he'll just run when he makes his one read & panics if that receiver isn't open. That's all he does is run. He's not good at anything else.

Curious to see if we make any changes on the oline this week.

Ayers or Griffin are the logical choices.

Ayers would be a great fit, but Griffin, I like, would be wasted. He's too good at coverage.

Broken record, I know, but I would try in practice using Shay/Smith in a rotating spy role. Not only can you use them as a spy, but you can put them in an intermediate zone, or cover hook/curl/flat stuff. That would also allow you to go with a full imp DL.

Logical works just fine yup.....not so much when we have an illogical HC tho....

If I was coaching I'd swap out T. Jones for J.Jones this game and use a lot of Ayers and Wilson...for all Wilson's bad points (age/abilty to stay healthy) he still is a great sideline to sideline LB and posses pursuit....I can see Ford making T.Jones look silly in space and him not being able to track him down with angles or just plain sprint to the sideline

Healthy and available Wilson is still good, and I think he has played better over all than Jones too....he can do more anyway

He should be a SAM or HB....He's so good....Bonds too was gonna mention in other thread...guy is legit good as well...and is super smart/aware out there...

We know its going to be Wilson and T.Jones at linebacker.

Now does Toronto try to poach J.Jones with their mlb hurt?

if that happens it is entirely your fault. Not really, but still I dont even want to think about it.

Can't do it, they have him on the 1 game IR.
