I think Command will be a good fit eventually - Button had him going 10th overall in his last mock draft but he's probably a 2-3 seasons away.

You've got an immediate roster player (Mercer), a potential upgrade at back-up goalie (Daws), a pipeline 2C prospect (Command), and a couple of picks. Bjugstad was for sure a throw-in by NJD for cap space - he's a pending RFA who's on LTIR until at least January so his time here is probably pretty limited. I don't mind the return, especially that goalie trades have low value, historically. I do feel he probably could have gotten a better deal pre-draft though.

Bjugstad is 34. He’ll be an UFA

Nov 10. Can get 2 tickets for 100 from ticketmaster.

That could be the most raucous Winnipeg crowd since Dieter Brock came back with Hamilton on September 15, 1984. Who ya gonna call? Brock-busters!!

Yep, meant UFA, which is why his time here could be short.

Yup. Pretty sure Mercer is an RFA in July.
