GAME 6 | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (5-0) at HAMILTON TIGER-CATS (4-1)
THE 4-1-1
Kickoff: 6 p.m. CT Friday, Tim Hortons Field, Hamilton
TV: TSN, RDS, ESPN+
Radio: 680 CJOB
Vegas line: The Ticats are favoured by two points.
Home/Road: The Bombers are 2-0 on the road this year with wins in Vancouver and Ottawa. Winnipeg is 4-1 in its last five road games, the lone blemish a loss to Edmonton in the 2018 regular season finale in which a number of the team’s starters did not play or had limited reps. Hamilton, meanwhile, is a perfect 3-0 at home this season.
Recent history: The Bombers 5-0 start is the third best in franchise history. The 1960 squad opened with 10 consecutive victories en route to a 14-2 record while the 1939 Bombers rocketed to an 8-0 start, finished the regular season 10-2 and then defeated Ottawa to win the second of the franchise’s 10 Grey Cup championships. The Ticats, meanwhile, have opened with a 4-1 record in their first five games for the first time in 21 seasons.
Series: The Bombers are 64-55-0 all-time vs. Hamilton and 27-32-0 at Ivor Wynne Stadium/Tim Hortons Field.

  • I've seen the Bombers play some awful football over the years, so if they wanna blow out everyone the rest of the year, they can go right ahead. Somehow, I'll find a way to manage............

  • Stop whining about blowout victories. Immediately.

Nichols played a lousy game as he himself admitted on the post game. Lapo called a poor game. Turnovers killed us. Those two fumbles on returns cost us 6 points. Oline did not have a great game. Our D

This is the type of game where a change of pace at QB may jump start the offense.   But O'Shea's loyalty most likely will prevent this from happening.

Not enough Harris on O. Lapo overthinking things

Rose is playing a he'll of a game

Its not really. Hamilton isnt exactly marching the field.

Yeah- but neither are the bombers with their starting QB.

I wonder what the scrore would be like if the ti-shats didn't lose their starting QB in the first quarter.

Harris should of ran the ball 20 times tonight .... Hamilton has a terrible run defense and they facked up by not exploiting it.

Of course not now. The Bombers are chasing, so away with the run game.

Well they started the game not using him either so.

hope this game is an aberration

D has to make a game changing play

Nichols best game as a Bomber last week.. Outside of Banjo Bowl last year WORST as a bomber tonight

And were chasing at that point, too. I get what you're saying and I agree on Harris not being used well tonight, though. The offensive game-plan stunk from the first possession.

Nobody goes 18-0

We couldn't be playing worse on O or ST

Does this look like the Bomber defence is playing well against a second-string QB?

Yes

Need D to force a turnover on Ham zone.

Nichols is absolutely god awful tonight

Exactly why I laughed and stayed quiet last week when several people said "where are all the Nichols haters at now?".  Measuring stick game, and he has not measured up whatsoever!

Well down by 8 with 5 turnovers... I'd lean towards 5 turnovers won't happen every week.

I know I'm not a professional but play action doesn't work when you're not running the ball.

Which is weird cause Harris is averaging 6 ypc

D going to get gassed soon.

I wasn't expecting the Bombers to go 18-0... but I expected a half competent effort by our team.

Just a complete let down tonight. Nichols has been terrible, and every time we give ourselves a chance we just turn it over.

Need to get Nichols to play well against decent defenses

Just mark this at 5-1

Why aren't we blitzing every down?
