ESF: Lions @ Cats

Both teams in relative free fall near the end of the season.  Think it's going to be kind of an ugly show for offenses with both teams needing their defenses and special teams to make the difference.

Going to give the edge to BC because I believe Lulay is ready for this and more capable than the fake QB on the other side.

That moment of silence was beautiful and one of the reasons that I love this country.  Imagine trying to pull off a moment of silence like that in the middle of an NFL game?  It would never happen. Wa

  • instead we get Homer Suitor gushing over the Riders all game. Talk about a no win situation.

  • Buono might retire at half time...

Hope the refs are on top of illegal footwear tricks and we don’t have a repeat of the Edmonton debacle in ‘96

any of the old-timers here remember that year where there was some sort of ice storm the night before the game and they had to steam off the ice at the old Winnipeg stadium and they played the game on a much smaller field?  I still remember the 1980 WSF playoffs against Calgary where they had to clear a ton of snow off the field before game time.

Idiots probably flooded the field, better make a trip to the hardware store.

This generation of turf sucks in freezing temps and snow.   Snow and ice gets between the layers and it's like an ice rink.  I always wore my old turf cleats when it got cold on the fieldturf.

Fumble into the end zone should go back to the one yardline if the offence recovers, if it's third down then they loose the ball.

As long as the fumble and subsequent advancement of the ball isn't considered intentional, it's a perfectly legal play. If there's a fumble, you can't bat the ball forward with your hand intentionally, but you could legally advance a fumble forward by performing a dribble kick (section 17).

With that said though - I thought he advanced the fumble intentionally...which is definitely illegal.

That will hurt the Riders DL. If they can't get traction they can't pressure Nichols or stop Harris.

Harris will need to find some traction as well.

Equipment guy was seen with a non descript bag and a drill should be good to go

I have no idea why the Lions didn’t at least attempt to bring Jennings out after half time.

Game Over enjoy your retirement/consulting job next year Wally, your team was not prepared to play by you and your coaches

yeah should have tried jennings.

oh well. Hope the other game isn't the close one today.

Hey Rod just how many people do you think are watching a game in BC that started at 10 in the morning, probably woke up at halftime saw the score and went back to bed.

There was procedure and loose ball interference all on the same play... not called.

I agree.  Shame to watch him go out the same way Cal did in 1996.

Reinebold lurking in the Lions org, maybe Hervey promotes from within and then whoah time is a flat circle.

or woke up at 8:00 am and had the Crown pouring by 9:00 am...

Hervey is going to clean house. Getting rid of the stench from this game is going to be done very quickly. Can't see any of the Lions qbs coming back.

44-0. Wow!

Because he is terrible.

CFL record for a shutout win in the playoffs is 45-0 back on November 16, 1963.

yeah I was trying to understand how that play wasn't blown dead.  The BC O-Line jumped way ahead of the snap.  Just a train-wreck clown show....

Just threw a 40 yard corner route to a fullback covered by a halfback.

Maybe BC needs a new OC.

That “almost” 109 yard defensive TD return was poetic justice... that PI against Hamilton was absolute garbage... basically they’re saying only the receiver has rights to the ball... it was perfectly defended...

years of practice...though plan to be incoherent by the time I get to the Jets game...thank goodness for the day off tomorrow...

Cleaning house is the only way to go in BC, that's the easy part.

Jackson hasn't shown that he's capable of being a successful OC.
