Does TSNs love affair with Masoli, Banks and Tasker reach new levels of passion or do they rekindle an old flame with Harris, Sinopoli and Ellingson ? You can almost feel the heat.

Yes, we have the makings of a genuine slobber knocker... but not the good kind of slobber knocker. Contain yourself, Rod.

👁‍🗨In the Bomber’s bye week, at least there are 3 potentially good games this weekend, and this is one of them..

CFL Game #79 Notes & Trends:

Hamilton a first in the last 37 years: The Ti-Cats have built a double-digit lead in each of their last 7 games. The last time they accomplished that? Way back in 1981 when they built a 10+ lead in 8 straight games (Aug 8/81 to Oct 4/81).

To place that 10+ point edge into historical context, in Ti-Cats' club history when they have taken a 10+ point lead, their record is 386-81-7 or better put ... they have failed to win just 17% of the time.

Late Season Back-to-Back Ottawa vs Hamilton: They will be playing their third October home-&-home set in the last 4 years

2015: Ottawa and Hamilton were tied at 10-6 through 16 games. Ottawa SWEPT the two games to finish 1st and Hamilton 2nd.

2016: OTT at 6-7-1, HAM at 6-8. They split and Ottawa earned 1st place as Hamilton dropped their last 2 games to fall to 2nd.

2018 Season Series / Tie Breaker Facts:

- Ottawa can clinch the season series with a win having beaten Hamilton 21-15 on Jul 28/18 at Tim Horton's Field

- An Ottawa win and at least a tie next week would give them 1st place and a berth in the East Final.

- The 2nd place team will play either Edmonton, BC, Winnipeg or Saskatchewan in the East Semi-Final.

- A 6-point win by Hamilton in this game throws it wide open and would even the series in both Wins and Points.

- If there is a TIE in one game of this set and Hamilton wins the other a standings tie is possible at 9-8-1

- That potential 9-8-1 tie would be settled on points. If the scoring is tied, Division record is invoked and that favours Hamilton - Hamilton's Division record is 4-1 vs Ottawa's at 3-2.

#1 CFL Offence: The Ticats have the #1 offence in the CFL at 406 yards per game based on being #2 in both rushing (102 yds) and passing (313 yds). Hamilton has had the #1 CFL Offence just one time in the last 46 years - that was in 1999.

Ottawa last 2 games: The REDBLACKS come in with consecutive defeats for just the second time all year. They have not lost 3 straight games since their 1-6-1 start in 2017, a span of 22 games in which they have avoided 3 losses in a row. In the last two weeks they have held an early lead but been unable to hold it. They were outscored 20-0 in the 2nd half by Edmonton and 8-0 in Overtime by Winnipeg to fall to 8-6.

Hamilton last 2 games: The Ti-Cats have evened up the East by winning their last 2 games and 5 of their last 7. After a 2-4 start, they have gone 6-3 in their last 9 games - second only to Saskatchewan's 7-3 mark across August to October. The beat BC by 30 points and Toronto by 14 and did not trail in either game at any point.

Hamilton back-to-back, wire-to-wire: The Ti-Cats have not trailed in a game since Sep 22/18 vs BC, a game which they led right up to the last play in regulation. It is the first time in 3 years that Hamilton has won 2 in a row without trailing (Oct 2015).

Great starts: The Tiger-Cats have led 10 of their 15 games after the 1st Quarter and also at half-time. They have failed to hold 4 of those 1st Quarter leads however and are 6-4 in the 10 times they have gotten in front early.

last team to have the ball wins kind of game?

both good teams, both want the game, should be a good one, winner three points more than loser.

read that Hamilton is no 1 offence in the league. Harris can move the ball too.

looking forward to both games.

got the tsn hamilton radio pregame show on, very well done. Experienced people doing that broadcast.
