Well it’s Canada Day! Hopefully the last post in this thread is the Jets hoisting the Cup.   Enjoy the frenzy!

FIVE deals! Wow. I'm glad they got something for Petan. He'll fit in well in the Leafs press box.

Dreger said 6 deals...is there one more?

So we traded Nic Petan for a slightly older Nic Petan.

At least the new guy can play on the PK and can check.    I'm not sure what the Leafs will be doing with Petan though.

I've lost count.

Hayes.

Bolieau(?) from Buffalo.

Hendricks.

K-Rus from Fla.

Swedish Petan.

And who else?

Petan had to clear waivers to go down, right?  Lindholm doesnt.  He's a UFA this summer too.  I think was a contract dump for the Jets unless they really like Lindholm...but to make room for their other acquisitions they likely had to waive someone and figured they'd lose petan.

If they play him, may put him on the fourth line with Ennis.

Man, to be Chris Wideman in seeking living arrangements this year, what is this, his 35th team he has played for?

he should have the same property manager as Kevin Glenn...

Lance Hornby

On Petan, who Dubas says will be a Leaf not a Marlie: "The opportunity for him just hasn't worked out in Winnipeg. Par was a UFA coming up, Petan has team control left on him." Thinks Leaf development staff can make him better.

And, they need to wait for the roster to expand to fit everyone in.
