Trestman's Vipers score first offensive TD almost halfway through game 3.  #genius

Fans are calling for him to be replaced by Paul Bearer.

In his defense his quarterbacks are AWFUL. I watched all 3 games (haha) and Flowers is a high school qb.

Their offense had some resemblance of success when he switched his Qb today

He's the GM too.

Yeah, but don't they acquire their players via the draft though? Like he couldn't just lure a FA Matt Nichols if he wanted.

How I understood it is: a player doesn't sign with a team. He signs with the league who then disperses players

I could be wrong though

Yeah it wasn't random though.  They scouted and drafted.  This is a team he picked and now has coached for 2 months.

I believe players entering the league as FA go through waivers with lowest seeded teams bidding first. Trestman had to trade for SJ Green when someone else poached him on arrival

The players sure have quit on the NY team.

I am kind of surprised with the severe disparity in the xfl. With the people running things, and the way the league signs guys I thought itd be at least fairly close.

So they've lost roughly half their viewers and their ratings are actually worse than the CFL, if you consider that 1.6 million per game is like a CFL game getting 160,000.

With this kind of regression, in four more weeks, they will be playing to the stadium vendors and viewers who cannot find the remote.

Slip sliding awayyy...slip sliding awayyayy.......

Vince's ego is bigger than The Big Show. This is all about him. Just wait until the NBA playoffs, MLB & even MLS start up in about a month.

Not to mention NHL playoffs and final 4

When you take a look at the ratings in context they are still one of the highest rated cable shows for their day week to week. Also they are three times more people watching XFL at the three game mark compared to the AAF last year.

Lots of seats sold too. The Seattle game was very well attended from what I saw on TV.

L.A. had Less Attendance.
Way less.

Still early, but trending downwards?

Beginning to look like 'another one bites the dust'....As soon as Vince sees the numbers in his new enterprise are not making money sense....he'll pull the plug

I dont think he'll pull the plug until he knows no one will pay him for content.  It would have to be a huge disaster to not go another season at least.  The word was 1.5 million was what TV partners wanted to consider it successful.  It was always going to trend down from opening week.  The question is, where is bottom...where is the stable week-to-week rating.  is it 1.5 million or is it less?  How much less?  Can it slowly grow?

It gets better ratings than hockey does for sure in the states.

Maybe in markets in the southern states....and that's not saying a lot

It is all good. Vince doesn't care about losing half a billion dollars.

“Savagers will point out the product has been mundane. Although there has been an attempt to spice up blah with lots of mic’ed-up coaches and players, announcers have been too “rah-rah.” If sideline reporters have to be seen, they should not be heard. Sparsely-filled stadiums cannot be that noisy and players responses to cliched questions have been meh”.

Yes, I agree with this guy.
- Pointing out crowd noise?  Yeah maybe in one stadium

- Sideline interviews? Pretty bad. And useless

- Rah rah announcers? Tryin* real hard. Too hard.
