Bombers at Shmoes GDT

Let's see if we can carry our dominance over from last week. Edmonton has gotten some weapons back since we played them last, I expect a close game.

  • Was never a doubt in my mind as I watched that game that Winnipeg would win. Was closer on the scoreboard than the field. Medlock was replaced by a doppelganger or they run away early. I would also pe

I thought Maas was relatively calm this game. The only thing I thought was he looked like he was gonna cry after randle broke up that 3rd down pass to seal the game. I seen a few teary eyes in my day,

  • It's hard to ignore the difference JSK has had on this defence. Another 10 tackles tonight.

Santos-Knox will be the difference maker on D

denmark will catch winning TD

bombers win 29-27

Randle & Heath need to be - Randle & Heath

Gonna be a tight game, maybe a clutch catch by JFG does it for Blue.

The depth chart has jake starting at DT again, also only has us with 5 wrs.  JFG, adams, denny, lankford, and coates. Obviously flanders / harris will move in and around slot spots. But man i dont like that lack of depth at wr. Football gods help us if a wr goes down. Or harris.

The depth chart has us carrying 8 ol, so im sure foketi will be one of the 2 scratches.

Poop not on there?

Should be nice rotation on DL - hope ekakitie gets in for a few plays

seen him rotated in a few times but didnt make any thing happen.

Going to the game. Look for me, I'll be the guy in Blue and Gold. :) Maybe we're due for a defensive gem? Go Blue!

I don't understand this at all...  Why do you need Porter and Fogg as DIs - unless someone's nicked up

good discussion on OB pregame about the Bombes D line ..... not many sacks or pressures this season.

They've changed D lineman quite a bit. Maybe it's not the players.

We seldom make good use of the DI spots on off or def.

The scheme is no question a good part of the blame. Weve seen tons and tons of talent on the DL over the last 2 years to till production.

Id rather see poop + jake then jake and nevis. But ideally wed have all 3 again. The best our DL has looked has been when we had all 3.

Doug mentioned that Richard Harris got everything a player had out of his D lineman.

No doubt about that. Weve seen great singular efforts this year from each of the DL men. But few have consistently performed, and none have reached near their potential.  Talent isnt a problem. Getting the right guys on the field some times is, scheme certainly is.

It seems like they are trying to decide between Poop and Nevis but to me, the key is both Poop AND Nevis being in there...

Also of note, can't believe how well spoken Lankford is. Just listening to him a bit on OB and he's saying some really smart things and saying them well. Very intelligent young guy...

Feel like Nevis is taking heat for Hall's schemes, the same way Cummings did

agree.  Id rather see us move jake to the end, or start corney and rotate jake to get another imp in opposite jeffcoat.

and bryant turner too.

Why can't you believe it? What were you expecting?

I'm too much of a nationalist, for sure, but I find that Americans, especially ones from the south, are almost unintelligible sometimes. And a lot of y'know.... Awwwmmmmm.... Y'know....

don't we have a dedicated D-line coach? If so, its on him.

Football players, amongst other athletes far far too often fall into riding cliches into the dirt during interviews. When one is well spoken and legitimately intelligent it is a surprise.  They are among the top few percentile in terms of athletic ability, to then also be in a high percentile intelligently really puts them in rarefied air.

yes todd howard. this is his 3rd year here too.

Intelligence isn't what is stopping Lankford from becoming a premier receiver, nor is it his speed. He presented well in an early-season interview and sounded humble and grateful but I'm not sure has that competitive hunger and drive to be a Milt Stegall.
