Surprise, surprise.....well not really.  Anyone thinking  Trump would face major repercussions  from the Mueller report hasn't been paying enough attention to past  U.S. history,  anything and everything will be minimized to the point of appeasement in order to save face.  I have no doubt Mueller produced a truthful document but there was no way in hell they were ever going to expose the raw truth contained to the outside world without running it through a strong filter.  The rot of corruption is throughout their government institution,  as with the Brett Kavanaugh hearing,  upon close inspection even their examination process  is ruled by blatant partisanship and infected with rot.   Democrats or Republicans doesn't matter, it's the system  of checks and balances that is broken and in need of repair.

He's a rich, white man. He does and says whatever he wants, then shouts down those that disagree.

Democrats, leftists, partisan media , never trumpers and general Resistance types were stunned. They went all in on the collusion conspiracy theory. Elevated Mueller , a white male, to secular saviour status.

If people were truly serious about the truth then the other side of the ledger has to be investigated too. Sounds like they will.

No one was stunned. Everyone knows this is a smokescreen. Typical GOP.

Yes, but he has a support group of rich white men that enable him to be heard, otherwise he's just a crazy old man with no manners ranting away.

I think that's wishful thinking on your part.  Stunned?  Meh.  Surprised that Mueller didnt weigh in on Obstruction which was actually part of his mandate.  But in reality nothing matters without seeing the report.  The GOP like to play by different rules when it's their guy (not that the Dems wouldnt but its the GOP controlling this).

By the way, the other side was investigated over and over, deeply and thoroughly.  Take off the blinders.  And stop with the whataboutism.

The idea the Dems or anti-Trumps are so stunned or distraught is part of the GOP narrative right now.  Shame that so many fall for it but again, to many its not about truth, its about winning.  Its like cheering for your team even if they blatantly cheat.

I sure wouldn't be gloating like these guys are if I were them and the report, speculated to be terribly damning, was being purposely hidden...I think Trump knows it's damning but he's trying to get in front of it.

He's actually really stupid because most American's dont really care about this right now so if the Dems spent their time talking about it, its actually Trump's best shot at re-election.  Which is why Pelosi has been brilliant in her strategy (and you see many Dem candidate's following her lead).  Trump delivered them a huge gift with his ObamaCare stuff.

Polling shows overwhelming majority of Americans want to see the entire report.  Majority believe Trump is not exonerated.  Even if American's not taking the report as a swaying issue in the election, those are bad signs.  Dems *should* do their duty in the House in terms of investigations and seeing the full report but as far as the 2020 election goes, they are doing the right thing.  Right now, there is no issue that Trump has that he can use to increase his support from his base of racists, morons and GOP4Life voters.

The other side has not been independently investigated. Clinton campaign paid for fake Steele dossier through Fusion GPS that employed an ex spy working for a Russian oligarch.

So either figures in FBI DOJ and CIA were either corrupt, negligent or incompetent to launch a 3 year investigation into nothing. Lots to go on here.

Then recomend indictments for obstruction. Obviously Mueller didn't have anything to proceed on that too.

1) you have zero clue whats in the report

2) There was never going to be an indictment of Trump

So basically, you're argument is "You CAN'T Indict Trump" and "Well didnt he indict Trump then?"

In a report that is being hidden and filtered, Trump's OWN AG admitted the President is not exonerated in an investigation of obstruction...thats...that's incredible, really.  That is the big red flashing headline that many are missing.

But again, Trump could ADMIT he did it (which he kind of did) and you wouldn't turn...so it doesnt matter.

But that's the origin, the Clinton camapign,  that paid for the dossier. Who first  ordered it and who knew what when. As worthy an investigation as anything.

So..you dont even want to have a rational discussion?  If you have to lie and mischaracterize to make your point, guess what, you dont have a point to make.

The investigation that produced the Steele Dossier was originally commissioned and paid for by a Conservative group doing oppo research on GOP candidates.   Steele was hired by Fusion after the Dems took over the funding but what does that have to do with anything?

You're suggesting that, had the GOP's oppo research on Hilary produced bombshells that they wouldnt use it?  Come on...naive?

Steele was a respected intelligence person and used trusted, long time sources.  He turned the troubling info over to national intelligence agencies due to national security concerns...it really had nothing to do with who funded it.

Its akin to saying, had they discovered evidence that Trump killed a guy, they shouldnt use it because it was oppo research paid by the opposition?  Who cares.  They didnt manufacture evidence.  And nothing in the dossier has been refuted but much of it has been confirmed as accurate.  The dossier is the LAST thing I'd hang my hat on if I was trying to defend Trump.

Clinton was thoroughly investigated on several matters...which one do you want to discuss?

Benghazy?  FBI investigated for years.  (They aren't independent?)   Bipartisan Senate Select Committee on Intelligence investigated.  Bipartisan.  Five different House committees investigated and while some issued damning reports about the Obama administration that actually proves my point.  Investigated and reports delivered and the public were free to make up their minds about Hilary and the Dems.  Lets not forget that unlike Trump, Hilary appeared before the House to answer questions publicly.

Clinton emails?  So what?  If what she did is so wrong, throw the Trump's out because they're doing the same thing.   As for investigations, the State Department's Inspector General isn't independent?  How about the FBI who were referred the case by the State Department?  Your guy even benefited from an improper declaration by Comey that handed the presidency to him.  The only corruption in the FBI was the New York office stacked with Rudy G's buddies.

Clinton might be the most investigated presidential candidate in modern history.  You dont appoint a special prosecutor just to play *** for tat.  Mueller was appointed because there was far too much evidence of wrong doing, because Russia was clearly meddling (which Trump kept denying and continues to deny) and the AG himself was a potential witness/suspect.  Not to mention that there WAS a counter-intelligence investigation happening at the FBI which Trump moved to quash by firing Comey, admitting on national TV exactly why he did it.

In closing, these two things are fact:

- There was VERY good and justifiable reason to appoint a Special Prosecutor in the Russia case, he was appointed and over seen by TRUMP'S guy

- Clinton was heavily and repeatedly investigated.  Keep in mind the Dems were the victims of foreign interference and crimes, some at the PUBLIC behest of Trump.

Whataboutism fails when you try to use it on the Dems.  And spoiler alert: Hilary aint running.  And if your guy won, why does he want to keep fighting that battle?  Because he knows he cheated and he knows Hilary should be President (regardless of what you think of her).

You're barking up the wrong tree.

Half right.  I have not always loved CNN but they are the best coverage of US news.  People arent against Trump in the news because they're biased.  They report on his many issues because he has many issues.  Of the big news outlets, only FOX openly and gladly carries the water of one side or the other.

Everyone knows...what is there to investigate. Only a Trump-ite would be handed the VERY compelling and credible Steele Dossier and ignore what it found in favour of wanting to know who paid for it.  We already know who paid for.  How about investigating whats in it?  Oh yeah, most of it has been proven true...

Yeah, along with Benghazi and her butter e-mails. Oh, and maybe Obama's birth origins should be investigated, too.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot about the confessed Russian spy who hooked up with the NRA and pal'ed around with Republican's including Trump campaign officials attending her birthday party.  Nothing to see her.  But what did Hilary have for breakfast, lets appoint a special prosecutor to find out!

I remember when Michael Avenatti was a hero in these parts too.....how's that working out for you :)

You're better than that.  Thats a deeply troll-worthy remark.

Also, whataboutism rears its ugly head again.

The real question should be, how did Avenatti work out for you guys?  Oh yeah, got the whole finance violation scheme revealed leading to Cohen flipping, implicating Trump in a felony etc.  Worked out pretty good.

The man has no credibility, none, zero, nada, just like every other accuser of Trump in this circus. They are all just petty criminals out for a quick buck.

An AG that has said that a President can not be indited and is basically above the law and what do you get, a 4 page summary on a supposed 300 page report where the AG makes a pronouncement that he really didn't need to make but had to make for the man who hired him to do just that.
