US Politics

Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Do respect this one though:

Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?

Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.

Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?

Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.

Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

The better way to approach this would be we take every accusation and subsequent investigation seriously.

There are some broad similarities that can be used to assess at first report whether or not the allegation is likely to be credible: these predators are clever and experienced enough to choose the time, place and victim- they will choose a time without witnesses in the immediate vicinity, in a secluded spot without surveillance, and most will pick a victim who is not likely to report; and as soon as one victim comes forward, there is almost inevitably a cascade of other victims- as happened with Nygard, Trump, Buchanon and others.

According to Law and Crime, Reade was one of eight women who “previously accused Biden of sexual harassment and inappropriate touching in early 2019.” Former Nevada State Sen. Lucy Flores had come forward with her own allegations first. The New York Times reported that Flores alleged that Biden touched her inappropriately and kissed her “on the head during a Democratic campaign rally in 2014, when he was vice president.”

Eight women who have all been silenced by Handsy Joe and his media friends.

If Americans have forgotten what a real President looks like they should watch tonight's commencement speech that Obama will give tonight, and compare him to the guy pretending to be one

Don't you mean "Believe women"?

No I mean believe women, investigate Claims and go from there.  This has been that.  We’re now at the “case closed” stage.

I’d take what you post on this subject with more than amusement if you cares a fraction as much about the 20+ allegations against your boy.  But on this subject you’re more likely to reply to a year old post to celebrate Kevin spacey getting off.

Speaks volumes that President Obama is giving the commencement speech for every graduate in the U.S and not the current President doesn’t it?

Fired State Department IG was also investigating Trump’s Saudi arms sales: report

Department of StateWritten by Alex Henderson May 18, 2020

President Donald Trump has been widely criticized — even by some of his Republican supporters — for being so adamantly supportive of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman despite his role in the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in October 2018. And a report by NBC News’ Josh Lederman could reopen that old wound: Lederman is reporting that Former State Department Inspector General Steve Linick, who Trump abruptly fired last week, had launched an investigation of arms sales to the Saudi government.

Monday morning on Twitter, Lederman posted, “JUST IN – 2 sources confirm to me that State Dept IG Linick was also investigating use of emergency declaration last year to sell arms to Saudis over objections of Congress.”

Every single factual claim in a tweet President Donald Trump posted on Monday morning about the state of US coronavirus testing is either blatantly false or misleading.

In related news, water is wet.

I wonder why Trump is taking hydroxychloroquine, did he find out that it gives a nicer shade of orange.

The IG??? Then who fired him? Lol what a joke.

and it gets worse for trump cause this won’t go away.

I don’t even believe he’s taking it.  He might think he’s taking it because he’s that stupid but someone is giving him a placebo.   Neither he nor his doctors can be that idiotic can they?

Trump fired him because somebody "cough cough Pompeo"  asked him to.

Or he is just lying about taking it because somebody in his orbit has a big stake in the company producing it and he wants his dumb ass sheeple to buy it by the case load
