I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

One interesting discussion point is the idea the Special Master would allow the government to have the tapes rather then mark them as privileged.  As Trump's lawyer, they *could* be attorney/client privilege.  Saw one commentator speculated it could be this specific conversation (reportedly there are many tapes) is not privileged because of criminality involved, or that the Trump side leaked it preemptively thinking it might get out there.  if thats the case I'd assume Trump's side of the conversation is sufficiently non-detailed enough that they will say "see, nothing to see".

 

Giuliani claims it is exculpatory?   He wasn't there.  Who told him this, Trump?

Something to remember if Trump is impeached.  The responsible king would be for trump to call for calm and peace. But you know he won’t.

The best part is, he has some tweets from the past (he always does) that accuse or predict Obama of starting a war with Iran to win re-election or otherwise cause a distraction.  So you know that "strategy" is at the forefront of his mind.  Funny how he doesnt talk remotely that tough with the country that actually attacked the US...but hey, "Economy" and we love Trump.

So Trump thinks that by rescinding security clearance for former high level intelligence chiefs for criticizing him, he will feel better about himself, soon he will employ firing squads getting rid of said people when he finds out they can still criticize him without a security clearance.

It will be interesting to see if he tries to rescind it for former Presidents.  As I understand it, most Presidents didnt often avail themselves of daily intelligence briefings anyway (H.W. did) but still, its a slap on the wrist by a tyrant and an attempt to cut people off from information.

I used to make fun of people that were so anti-W. that they claimed he'd create a fake pretense for war, declare martial law, suspend elections and civil rights and create a Nazo-like dictatorship.  But if someone came here from 10 years in the future and said thats exactly what Trump did, how surprised would you be, honestly?

The day Sanders’ smug face is disgraced and unemployed will be a great day. 

Everything trump says here is untrue. Not just a difference of political opinion but verifiably a lie. Also the steel dossier has never been discredited. On the contrary it’s largely been proven true.  And is highly credible.
