Official GDT: vs Ham 08/03/16 Game Day We All Play!

Heading in now from Victoria Beach, but looking forward to the game. Weather could be sketchy late afternoon/early evening with severe thunderstorm activity in the forecast. Here's hoping it's tapered off by kickoff!

On a stormy weeknight we had approx 17k fans in the stands AFTER a 2.5 hour delay... Can anyone dispute Winnipeg's claim to be the best fans in the league?

  • A completely ridiculous insane night that was totally worth it. Barley Bros for pre-gamers, to the stadium at about 7:15 and never left till 1am. By far the most I've ever drank at any "event" type th

  • My wife left, but I stuck it out to the end!   Well worth it.  Home by 1:30, and that 6:00 alarm wasn't welcome.   Well worth it though.  Feel like we may have turned a corner.   Lots of Bombers

See you the game! I'll be the wet looking one.

Go Bombers and win two in a row for the first time in two freaking years!

It's getting fugly outside quick. Start it at 7 lol. Phone says rain starts 730. Ends at 1 am. Lightning will be present

I don't believe it

I'm in a bit of a conundrum.  The two wins this year I wasn't able to watch because I was working.  Tonight I'm not.

I'm thinking I should just PVR it and watch it later and maybe my streak will keep going.   :(

I'm thinking I should set the PVR to record an additional 2 hours just in case

Go to work!

Last week: 3/5 of our starting secondary missing? No problem!

This week: our top three receivers missing? No problem!

Go Bombers.

Yikes, those weather reports look ugly  --stay safe, people.

And we are now officially in rain delay.

And here comes the lightning.

This game will be cancelled. First one since...?

Just announced that after a 60 - 90 minute delay, the game should be able to be played without further delay.

Gonna be a long night.

Good night for the Bombers off the field :P

90 minutes should be a cancellation.  Can't expect people to hang around.  It's 90 minutes and reevaluate according to Lazuruk.  Dumb.

These delays are getting way out of hand.  I can see the stadium from where I'm at and there's been one nearby lightning strike in the last hour.

Cancelled or does the game get postponed until tomorrow?

ok so I'm in Hawaii right now and I come into the room from the pool, get all showered up and beer poured and turn on the stream and bam there is this stupid delay. I am now stuck as to whether to go back to the pool or just sit here waiting watching motorcycle racing.  I refuse to be like the ******-bag Rider fans I encounter here and bring my computer to the pool and blare the game and chase everyone away from the pool, that's a line I won't cross.  Sigh...these weather delays are so lame.  Back in 1986  in a game against Ottawa I remember lightning hit the goalposts in the south end zone, during the game!  And there was only like a few minute delay.  This is ridiculous.

Weather conditions supposed to improve in half an hour. But who knows. I'd imagine at 9 they will postpone it until another day

Listening to cjob ... Knuckles just asked Chris Randle about Donald Trump.

I was just back home last week and Trump was all anyone wanted to talk to me about, so that sounds about right....

Watching the US news channels here in Hawaii, it's 24 hour Trump all the time.  Really nauseating.

Stop bragging. I was in Maui in April and I want to be back there right now!  Why didn't you take me with you?!?
