It was different, the previous season the receivers remained healthy through the playoffs, but Zach didn't.

It’s going to be tough for Bombers to keep Dru Brown without overspending in the QB envelope since we are already paying Collaros $600k in 2024.
But then again, we might have some slight leverage over other teams beyond the fact that Bombers offer an offensive scheme, personnel and culture Brown knows well.
For sure Brown is likely to get multiple offers in the Free Agency tampering window that starts Feb 4 and ends Feb 11. Of course one or two teams will go completely overboard with their offers for Brown.
But, under the new CFLPA agreement, any club that signs one of its pending FAs to an extension can offer to guarantee 50% of the second year money. So, depending on how the deal is structured (signing bonus, hard money, incentives etc) no team other than Winnipeg can offer to GUARANTEE 50% of the 2024 value of Brown’s contract in 2025. That’s a pretty good inducement to stay home, baby.

Back to back 6 and 12 seasons followed by raising ticket prices is poor marketing on the Riders part.

CFL needs to get families back into the stadiums, lower tickets, better game day activities and less drunks would help

CFL media needs to give hope to all fan bases in the offseason for the health of the league. You won't find too much honest assessment in the offseason. Season tix sales are down by 35% over last year in Rider land. I hate the Riders but that's not good for the CFL.

I agree. He's like Glenn. Rattle him early and he's done.

I feel like many here just too heavily discounted Montreal's passing offense. Even with Fajardo they have tons of useful receivers and use them to their strengths. Mack, Philpot and Snead are really good.

The guy is a pro qb. Fajardo beat us. Get used to it. He also gets paid to win. Some of us here sound like whiners.

Wasn't just that game, he played decently in a few games down the stretch, threw some nice passes too.  Given a good game plan and some decent weapons, Fajardo can be reasonably effective.

Can we get the mods to replace the word Fajardo with Daddy everytime Noeller types it? 😈

Interesting as I saw it differently. I saw a guy who played well when things were going well & a guy who could quickly lose his confidence when things went bad. If he plays smart then it doesn't matter if he has a strong arm or not.

Fajardo sure played well thaat one day. This may & I say with a bit of trepidation as I know some will laugh in disbelief that it may be a turning point in his career. Maybe he finally gets the inner confidence & takes the next step up. Or he doesn't. Time will tell.

He performed when he had to and, at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.  He’s a champion and an MVP.  That can’t be taken away from him.
If any number of our star players did the same, the outcome of this last Grey Cup (hell last two Grey Cups) may have been different.

His hair was shoulder length & he had a big moustache like we all did. Players in the 70's took care of their hair & just didn't let it grow to their knees like now. Different era.

Imagine coaching or playing with teammate who could run the ball, play receiver, play defensive back at a high level. return punts & kicks & be an undersized long snapper? Then be even more athletic as your best American player. That was Peter Ribbins.  I'd call him a generational player.

Scott Grant Photography has a great action photo of your father I'm sure your family would appreciate. You should contact him. His photos are online & you can order it. I remember your father very well. He was just a natural as a player. Peter excelled whatever position he played. He was a safety, a corner, a receiver (wingback) & he could run with the ball as well. He also was the Blue Bomber long snapper. At 185 lbs & he did that very well, too.
I remember the game in 1972 when he picked off 4 passes against the BC Lions.
Your Dad was one of my favourite player's back when he played.

The bigger issue here is it exemplifies once again the current climate we find ourselves in. Back in the day this kind of behaviour was quickly, immediately and swiftly condoned and put back under the rock where it belonged.
Nowadays, posturing and blithering absurdness is a strategy to get likes and grift money off/build a coalition of people who share similar approaches of what presenting other viewpoints looks like.

Our players didn't suddenly turn old and tired when they landed in HAM, yet virtually the same roster of old tired players with limited rotation put BCs season to bed with little to no sign of fatigue a week before. Our redzone turnovers were incredibly costly and it's a big stretch to blame them on fatigue. Our stars failed to execute all at once. So many points left on the field.

2 year deal for Walters, no details available for McManus or Goveia.  Formal announcement from the club expected later today.

Sources say the management team will all be making league minimum, as their salaries are being offset by a generous donation from previously unknown local business man "Made Willer".

Listen, if you know me... You know this isn't my kind of music. But completely unbiased... I thought she had a great voice and it was fun upbeat pop music. I'm stoked for the people that like her sound.... I'm stoked for women of non-traditional beauty to be represented on such a big stage. I loved it and am stoked for her and her fans to get this moment!
