  1. Those non-contact injuries are never good.
  2. I thought his kicking took a huge leap forward last week. Is he Justin Medlock?? Nope. But he's really improved this season no doubt.
  3. Normally I hardly ever watch the other teams play, but I watched most of both games yesterday. Toronto was unbelievably bad, especially the secondary and O'line. Rourke is good no doubt, but when he plays against a real team we shall see. Calgary and Edmonton play 4 times against each other?? Nice travel schedule there.
  4. I'm late but here we go. 1. Leggs....thrilled with his play last night. A couple of booming punts, and all good on the field goals. 2. Whole defence. 1 touchdown given up in 3 games. Willy, Jackson, Biggie, Kyrie just awesome. 3. Zack. Calm and cool under pressure. Woulda liked to see him get rid of the ball a little faster. HH. Houston had a great game. Also glad for the return of Hansen, and awesome to see him taking some reps on the d line.
  5. Is it going to rain?? The seats in section 232 are always dry! I agree....but I don't know how long we can wait. And right now, if the game is on the line....I'm very nervous.
  6. It was a defensive gem. And everybody loves one of those!
  7. #1 Wilson #2 Dru Brown #3 Ellingson HH Schoen
  8. section 232 was doing lots of LOL'ing at the half when they ran outta time. Incredibly poor clock management. Agreed. Brown looked confident and played confidently. Gotta have a #2 that can play, and I think we got one!
  9. Man you've basically summed up my thoughts on the game. I liked our young safety all through pre-season, and I still like him. But it's different when the games matter.
  10. No way TSN should be breaking away from a CFL game to cover the NBA. Just my opinion. Wondering if the lack of pressure on Massoli could be us missing Jeffcoat. Lot easier for them to deal with Willy when Jeffcoat isn't there.
  11. I thought that Oliviera would be better than what he showed last night. Slowing down to search for a hole and then trying to accelerate was not working. I get the limited reps that the starters had together in the exhibition season, but our running game needs to be better.
  12. I was really surprised about Berner. He looked pretty good to me.
  13. Lots of decision to make following the game. QB being the biggest one. I'm thinking that right now Brown may have the inside track on being the #2, and Prukop #3/short yardage guy. Pretty much impossible to make any firm decisions when they have only practiced 8 times, and are playing with a full backup Oline, and against defenders who likely won't be around come the regular season. Didn't mind the 2nd American RB that played, and Borsa sure looks like he can play.
  14. Mrs Danger can't stand that! It's not a way to make the team that's for sure
  15. I agree with your comments. Even the really long one. Whether or not this ends in a warrant for his arrest is yet to be determined, and a finding of guilty or innocent is miles away.
  16. Went to the game last night and fought it out with the line-up card that was provided. Here's my 2 pennies.... Really liked 76 Berner ( DL ) and 69 Machino (OL). Both looked like players to me. I also was impressed with 36 Thompson at safety. Watch out! I thought Prukop was hanging onto the ball for far too long in the second half. It should be noted that our O'line in the 2nd half was all rookies/new guys. Same on the DL. Berner played in the 1st half, and after an injury in the 2nd he played that well. Brown looked really good even with the rookie o'line. Mourtada had the one convert hit the post, but he looked very solid. Leggs can punt, and do kick offs, but I don't think his leg is as strong. Augustine is so fast, a very different dimension from Oliviera. Felt bad for the returner 31 Holm. Was lucky he didn't get killed on his first return, but settled in after that.
  17. Truth brother. That's awesome! He's hired.
  18. I think this whole maximum pay issue of 54k for a global player is an embarrassment to the entire league.
  19. I don't think us fans truly appreciate the sacrifice some of the American players make when they leave their families to come up here. Look at Houston #35 as an example. And the total solid our team did for him. But my point is the huge sacrifice some make to come here for 4-5 months away from their families. No judgement from me if they go home right away. And now with all this increasing covid crap, who can blame them??
  20. And we didn't play Ottawa at all. Who the &^%$ made the schedule?? He was
  21. I agree with lots of this, especially your thoughts on the on-field guys being gun-shy. I've been saying for a long time that officials seem to be hesitant to make decisions. I also get that referees don't want to decide the game unless they have to. This call clearly, or non-call absolutely could've decided the game in Saskatchewan's favour and I'm glad it didn't. And finally, the CFL needs to perhaps make decisions and reasoning by the command centre public, kinda like Department of Player Safety in the NHL. We may not agree with the decision, but at least we might see their decision-making process.
