  1. Individual teams aren't negotiating here. The only relevant information is the league as a whole. And yes, the covid years sucked for all, but we're looking at the next 7 years, not the past two. Revenue sharing is on the negotiating table and is literally, 100% the players business. Again, I don't think they need to address it from the perspective of individual teams, but the the leagues net revenue, expenses, and profit, absolutely.
  2. I think it's more that they're not 'opening the books' and showing what the revenue is. I'm sure agreements can be made about what is in and out of bounds, but you need to have an idea of the total pot to come to that understanding. The CFL as a whole makes money. Covid years aside - and the deal on the table doesn't include any increases for this current year as a result of that - what losses are you referring to?
  3. Damaging for the league, too. They should be getting into the news, people seeing training camp reports, advertising tickets, etc...etc...
  4. I'm not sure I get your reasoning... why would they ever show up for preseason if they could just hold out then? Why does the letter matter?
  5. They're just being professionals. Has no impact on negotiations.
  6. I feel way more offended at Wade Miller. Definitely lost some respect.
  7. He's just a figurehead. He's not negotiating this contract. If you need to send your hate to one person, sure it's his job to take it - but none of this is coming from him.
  8. Not an Ambrosie fan but this has nothing to do with him.
  9. Why are owners refusing an auditor? If there isn’t transparency during negotiations, I wouldn’t sign a deal either.
  10. PA still wants a deal done. They'll come back at the first opportunity. Both sides are negotiating through the public - how each is doing it is just arguing semantics - the result is the same.
  11. I disagree. I don't believe for a second the memo "eventually leaked". They put the offer on socials to exert some public pressure and now the league is doing the same thing, imo.
  12. I'm 100% with the players, but the league didn't do anything that the players haven't already done RE: leaking to social media.
  13. There wouldn't be a point if the player can't take the place of a starter.
  14. I feel like Ploen called it the wing t in interviews. But thanks for the info. I have seen the tiniest of video clips from the era.
  15. I was just baout to say, with such a veteran team, what percentage of these guys practicing today make the roster? How much resources should media commit to early cuts?
  16. And I believe Ed Tait is on WST today, so for that should be a good listen.
  17. Darrin Bauming tweeted the same, so perhaps he is covering TC. Draft picks going down like flies.
  18. I feel - don't know - that it was more pitches to guys running outside than a hand off striaght down the middle.
  19. https://twitter.com/DTonSC/status/1525122098737422338?s=20&t=MhaYB3fIzwO7_dZp8pQ6rg I don't know why the imbedded tweets don't work for me.
  20. I want to check out first day of practice on Sunday, but not sure it's going to happen?
  21. Not sure what he's up to now. 1290 closed the doors, I'm sure he still wants to make it, but if he has a day job, what do you expect him to do?
  22. 5 seasons sounds like a good minimum. I personally feel like some people want to throw way too many names up there.
