Stamps @ Argos
I'm cheering for Toronto of course, but this one could be Calgary by a mile.

Bombers' Redemption Day - Game Day Thread: Alouettes
I'm curious to see what the QB rankings will be after this week.

Will Streveler Be Our James Franklin?
One thing that was mentioned on CJOB postgame that we need to keep in mind...Shreveler has benefited from learning on a very good, talent laden offense here. Put Shreveler in Montreal and what happens? I don't know, but we probably don't see the guy develop. Put him in behind centre in some of our scarry (bad) offenses and offensive lines of the past and what happens? Sadly, he may just be another forgotten name. I've brought this up numerous times, but years ago Tom Clements played in Saskatchewan, was running for his life behind a bad O line, and did diddly squat. My point - The Bomber offense is benefiting from Shreveler, but he is also benefitting from our good offense, good vets, and good co-ordinator.

Riders- Blacks Thursday
Jamie Nye of 650/980 radio predicted that the score would be 40-15... I texted him that he will be very close (he just got a little mixed up with the team's, that's all)... oh, I love it when the Riders lose!!

Week 2 @ Montreal: Streveler Round 2 And Willy On A Short Rope
I' m guessing they use Moe Leggett sparingly as a DB this game, bringing him in as an extra DB on obvious passing situations. Excited to see him as a KR though. Leggett doing kickoffs and Fogg doing punts...thats a good unit.

Lock of the Week 2
Okay. It's looking like I am not thinking for myself and picking the popular choice and that is exactly the truth... Andrew Harris

Game Day Thread - League Opener: Eskies
Head stratching statement. The point is...what a QB accomplishes (or doesn't) in his 1st game is not nessasarily a predictor of his future success (or lack thereof). Although I do agree that we need to temper our enthusiasm for Streveler. The sample size is pretty small at this point.

I never get tired of Brock stories...my favorite player ever. Thanks...and puts rookie starts in perspective.

Silver Linings
Oh you guys should hear the sports radio personalities (mostly Nye and Peterson) out here in Saskatchewan. They were just rolling in glee because of the Rider victory. Essentially said that beating Toronto was an indication of where the team was at now - beating a Grey Cup champion. ...sometimes I have to come on here just to get de-toxified from having to live in Rider land.

Around the League: 2018 Season
Gale is a warm body anyway. That's what we need right now. The rules don't allow us to dress an extra import instead of that 3rd QB so Gale is here. Hopefully Shreveler and Bennet can do the job until Nicholls gets back.

I have only seen a few quarterbacks as elusive on a consistent basis as Reilly in my lifetime....Tracy Hamm, Damon Allan, and Doug Flutie come to mind.

Week 2 @ Montreal: Streveler Round 2 And Willy On A Short Rope
Yah it will be the same Drew Willy. The guy needs a monster offensive line where he can have 5 steamboats. We can get to him. He is not like that slippery bugger in Edmonton. I say minimum 5 sacks for us.

Leggett might be. Not sure who Wild would take off the roster though.

Tiger-Cats @ Stampeders
Do the same refs always do Calgary games??? It's like, "Oh, Calgary's playing. That must be a penalty on the opposition!" I get sick of the refs favoring Bo Levi and the red shirts.

TO @ SSK - East Final Rematch + QB Mystery Afoot
That would be CNN. But anyways, people often get on O' Shea for making bad decisions...but NOT challenging that P.I. was really dumb. Not sure what Trestman was thinking. That cost Toronto the game!!

Will Streveler Be Our James Franklin?
I initially refused to vote on this forum question, but now will say "Yes". I believe Shreveler is the real deal. I think this guy will be a team' s #1 QB in 3 years...I just hope it is with us. He is smart (almost finished 2nd Masters degree), athletic, has a good arm, and has some leadership skills. The silver lining to Matt's injury is this guy will get much needed playing time which will only make us a better team.

Shreveler played like a rookie on that last drive, although I think we should have given our best player - Harris - the ball.

Game Day Thread - League Opener: Eskies
We stayed in it. Played it closer then I expected, but disappointed to lose like that. Defense gave in in the 4th. It's like Reilly willed the win, and there's nothing we could do about it. Somehow we have to get better on D. Offense will improve.

I second this. I would be disappointed with any loss, but I hope to see some potential with Shreveler.

Depth Charts June 14th Bombers vs Eskimos
I like your optimism, but remember...Shreveler is a rookie. Even Doug Flutie was less than 50 percent completion percentage in his 1st year in the CFL.

What?? There is no easy wins against Reilly led teams. If we squeak out a win, i will be extremely happy.

Prediction time
Hilarious! But also might be close to reality.

I like Rod Black... his broadcasting that is... -I remember him way back in his days doing sports on CKY, thought he was good.

Lock of the Week
James Wilder Jr. (I might pick him or Harris every week). Who is Calgary's RB? That would be another safer pick for another week.

Help us Chris Streveler, You're our Only Hope
Let's hope he is not overwhelmed. Edmonton starting D at times will come after him, and at other times will stack the box and make him throw. (Yeah, I know Captain Obvious). Just manage the game. A reasonable game would be no more than 1 pick with a few good drives. Let Bowman, Dressler, Harris catch short ones and make plays. Can we stay close with Edmonton in this one? It might take a minor miracle.
