Guess I’m in the minority but I thought that was a great halftime show. Good energy. I’m sure it was even better live.
Infinitely better than the kickoff show anyhow.

I appreciate your opinion. My point is hostility from both sides should be condemned.
Anyway, I believe I have said everything I wanted to say on this topic. Not interested in exchanging insults.

Well maybe it's just me, but I don't want to live in a world where we are frowned upon for criticizing the government. To label those who do so as "uneducated, overly entitled narcissists who only care about themselves" is wrong. In their minds they are fighting for our freedoms, and therefore are doing the right thing. Insults only serve to antagonize in this context.
You're right, my statement may have been too general. However in the context of the pandemic, there are plenty of statistics and expert opinions that support various viewpoints. Of course we won't all agree. It is silly to believe that we ever will.
There is antisocial behaviour on both sides. It is fine to believe what you believe and argue accordingly, but an open mind is healthy, and hostility is not the answer.

If your goal is to reach someone using logic on social media, you're already doomed for failure. It's not your job to convince total strangers online (who may very well be children/bots/foreign agents etc.
These conversations are only appropriate in person or maybe over the phone. Anything else is a waste of time.

If people have a problem they should focus their attention on the government. Why attack a business that has no choice but to obey public health orders?
People have become so hostile to one another, on both sides, and it is so disheartening. The world would be a much better place if we learned to understand each other’s differences and have respectful dialogue.

Multiple studies show that the viral load is the same between a vaccinated and unvaccinated individual. While a vaccinated individual might be less likely to get infected, they are also more likely to walk around as asymptomatic carriers (especially considering they are seldom required to get tested anymore compared to the unvaccinated).
There really is no need to be scared of the unvaccinated. The decisions they make only affect themselves. I say this as a fully vaccinated person myself.
Keep in mind that these people think they’re doing mankind a favour by fighting for our freedom, and therefore do not believe that they are being selfish. And honestly, we need people like that in this world, who don’t just blindly trust the government with everything they ask us to do.

Without knowing the specifics I'm not going to hold it against Eli. Maybe he had a severe reaction to the 1st shot etc etc. I don't know and or care. At the end of the day, it's more detrimental to him than the team.

Every choice we make for ourselves is selfish. Every one here is selfish. But once again, he knew the choice. I’m sure the team knew. I find it funny how we get on our moral high horses when we do something and someone doesn’t.
Still haven’t told me what my side is. I know you want it to be the anti vax side. I think you misunderstood the original point of my first reply to you. If you want someone to get the the vax, talking down on someone isn’t gonna change their mind. Acting like you are morally superior doesn’t change minds

Im vaxxed... I dont find it selfish for people to not have complete faith in an experiment. Cant believe how many "yes sir, whatever you say sir" people there are.
I understand peoples hesitancy to getting the vax. The situation depends on the person.

Explain how he is selfish? He understood the choice. Maybe he didn’t feel comfortable taking the vaccine? Not saying he is right or wrong on that choice. But this whole idea of talking down on people because they didn’t make the same choice as you is not going to win people over to your side.

It was a contact injury. He was stumbling on his own then the DB speared him on the turf in the endzone.

Watch it again, you can see he takes a but of an awkward step just before the endzone and before the DB hits him he is reaching for his knee....the db didn't help but it was a non contact injury.

Residency matters. Same for EI. Can’t collect EI even as a Canadian while outside the country.
There are tons of us as professionals who have no hope of ever collecting EI. We pay into it as a tax to protect our economy. CERB is very similar just less restrictive. But at the end of the day the entire point of either is to stimulate the economy of Canada, not send money around the world.
Players living in the US will be getting stimulus money from the governments there. American players living in Canada should qualify for CERB once they lose income.

I like the single points as they make things interesting. I also like the run backs from the end zone on missed FG's. You'd lose both if a missed FG didn't result in any points. Personally, I wouldn't want to lose either, but I understand the idea that missing a FG being seen as rewarding failure, especially when it happens on a 20 yard try.
I'd change the rule to no point if the ball goes through the end zone without being touched. That keeps the run backs and the 1 point while eliminating the point for shorter missed FG's.

While that may be true it's not how the rule works... his hand was moving forward at the time the ball was released and therefore is considered a forward pass... the play was called correctly...

Yourface reacted to SpeedFlex27 in CFL News Conference in Montreal This Morning
No, he meant the Argos. I'm sure being in the steel industry, Stern is from Hamilton. That was such a Hamilton response & it was an hilarious moment. Randy Ambrosie just about fell out of his chair when he heard that. Stern - "Can I say that?" Ambrosie - "You just did!!"
Stern was asked about Percival Molson Stadium & if the new ownership would commit to building a new stadium. He answered that he would concentrate on getting the fans back in the stands & then once the team is profitable look at building a new facility. No mention was made of the Als moving to a new baseball stadium if Montreal gets a MLB team back.
Stern said that they would be "patient owners". That is, they will hire the right football people & put them into place & pay them to make football decisions. They will not be involved in the day to day football or business operations of the team. They may give advice from time to time but they will leave decision making to the people they hire.
Bob Young was in attendance but at the back of the room out of sight. Stern paid tribute to Young saying he helped he & Spiegel through the purchase of the Als as well as calming him down this morning as he was extremely nervous as he is not a public speaker. he then asked Bob if the Als could have their draft picks back which got a rise out of those in the room in referencing the one sided trade that sent Johnny Manziel & 3 first round picks to the Als last year.
They got involved in discussions with the league 3 1/2 weeks ago. This has been a fast process, said Stern. Ambrosie then explained that there was delay in the sale because the business groups he met for the most part were under financed. Or the principles of who were involved would change from meeting to meeting. With Spiegel & Stern they've been business partners for 42 years so the dynamic won't change. Stern said the team is well funded & money is not an issue. Ambrosie said they met with 7 to 10 groups wanting to buy the Alouettes.
