Perreault is signed for 3 years and will be the number 3 centre for sure, Unless burmi is willing to come back and play the wing on the third line, i don't see the fit for him any more. Lowry?Odell? Klingberg? As a third line? YUck ??, Perreault, Burmi though might put up some points.. more than the lowry,odell,klingberg line would.

Yup, IMO, signing hank was all about name recognition, people know who henry buriss is, I'm not sure Kevin Glenn sells tickets. Henry is more marketable than Glenn, he is a name, he can put his name on things, Glenn, decent qb but if you were to poll a group of casual fans, and said... Glenn or Buriss, most would say Buriss just cuz they have more than likely heard his name before.

Meh, argos pay Ray a bunch of cash and still are pretty good, even with injuries, they are on a roll. It's not about paying Hank, it's about actually recruiting guys to play other spots and quite frankly, the best redblacks have been guys who were on other teams last season or were in the league before, capicotti has been good, walker has been good, can anyone name a guy on that team who wasn't in the league before that has looked good? I can't off the top of my head... That's the problem there, it's not Henry (although he hasn't looked good either).. It's a combination of things... Ray gets paid tons too and the argos are pretty decent themselves so i don't buy the paying hank 450,000 thing is their downfall, their downfall is their lack of scouting, which for an expansion team, i suppose it makes some sense. Although they had a year in advance to scout guys so one would assume they would be able to find a couple gems, have they? I can't think of any.

Considering most offences look pretty bad, including sasks who didn't score a td for 2 or 3 games up until the last second of the 3rd quarter against montreal, I'd say above average. We are scoring points, we are putting up points, don't we lead the league in points scored? That has to mean something. I'm not really qualified to go on and on about the play calling and i don't think anyone really is, we aren't in the huddle so we really have no clue at all, wish people would stop pretending they do, but... just based on points scored, lack of 2 and outs, all that stuff and based on what other teams have done so far or havent done, you have teams who haven't scored offensive touchdowns in 2 or 3 straight games so we are above average.

Great Blocks on that return, any of us on this forum could have ran that one back... got all the blocks he needed really. Not saying it wasn't a HOLY **** moment but... carter basically just ran the ball, didn't do much on his own to make guys miss.

Lol, this whole thing about stoudermire coming over from the riders.. Who cares, if you want to get really technical about things, Picard was drafted by the bombers, Labatte was too, Will Ford was a bomber, I mean really, I'm not gonna run through their roster and list all of the players who used to play on other teams.. but Getzlaf was a guy drafted by the ticats.. even Messam, he of one great half of football so therefore he of all star status to some on the forum played for 2 or maybe 3 other teams before coming to sask. It's pointless to go on and on about this whole, he came over from sask, thank taman etc stuff...considering most teams in the league have multiple players who used to play for other teams.. Hell, the bombers might be one of the teams who has the least amount of those guys actually... so Stoudermire never really dressed for the riders in a game that mattered did he? So i guess that situation is a little bit different then isn't it. All the guys i listed (labatte,picard,ford,messam,getzlaf) just off the top of the head actually played regular season games for other teams, actually not sure about getzlaf (he must have played one or 2 for hamilton). Stoudermire didn't. Weird.

The only real question at this time I'd have for Walters is, Why don't the blue bombers ban these hacks like Friesen from asking questions at these press conferences or better yet, completely from the building? Kyle, do you find it embarrassing listening to the press conferences and hearing the same stupid dumb questions day after day? Do you think Friesen is a massive troll? Did Paul Friesen expect us to win 5 out of our first 8 games? Did anybody?

Hindsight makes things seem so much worse than they actually were at the time. That's all i will say.

Been following the league for about 25 years now and lots of these names some of you are mentioning, NO CLUE. Guess I'm one of the younger ones on the forum?? I dunno but honestly no clue, In my time, i'd have to say the Gliebermans were the worst owners... I've heard some of the names (skalbania is one), Not sure why that name seems familiar though, Maybe from some of you guys mentioning it before? I dunno, Did he do something else also? But yeah Gliebermans in Ottawa by far... Just a gong show there with them from what i remember, Very very young at that time though, Don't really consider having on field success (their only .500 season in 15 years) because of the owners, the owners are the reason that team went under from my recollection... Can't put Braley up there for that reason, Dude saved a couple teams from going under so for that and that alone, he's not one of the worst, He might be one of the best actually, from all accounts he's very hands off... Can i nominate the Bombers BOD from about 10 years ago to about 1 year ago? LOL, they were pretty much a joke for a long time, seemed to have turned the corner a bit though this season but it's still early but they seemed very very hands on for a long time.

I disagree with the notion that bomber fans are bi-polar, never mind the fact that bi-polar is actually a legit disease and isn't a good disease either, yup let's make fun of mental illness, awesome, but regardless of that... It's not bomber fans, it's band wagon "fans" and Winnipeg has lots of those, when the team is doing well, you still have the naysayers around, when the team is sucking, there is just more of them, It is what it is, this isn't a Winnipeg exclusive thing, Sports fans in general, name the city and sport jump on and off the bandwagon so much it's insane, breaking ankles week to week jumping back on and off... It is what it is. Just so happens when we win, these forums seems less active, when we lose, man, everybody and their mothers comment on everything... I'm pretty convinced that we have a few bandwagon fans on this forum too and it's pretty apparent after losses who they are.. It's the same guy (s) every time, not calling anyone out, i'm sure we could all guess who they are rather easily but once again, it is what it is... Our media are pretty bandwagon ish too, One week it's the bombers are the best, next week, the whole "bumbling" blue bombers thing is back again... The one thing i will keep saying this season until i'm blue in the face is how many of us actually predicted they would be 5-3 right now.. Hell the worst we can be 1/2 way through the season is 5-4.. Good chance we are actually 6-3 even.. Who honestly thought that? I consider this season year 1 of a re-build of sorts, we have some pieces, we need some more... and unfortunately, one of those pieces we need is an OLINE, we have a couple good ones (i'll call them the Canadians), we have some bad ones too, need help, it's gonna take patience and drafting.. One more thing, anyone who is going on about the teams effort last night or any game so far this season (minus the edmonton game and even then i thought they competed, they just really couldn't catch a ball or a break really that game) is obviously just a troll of some kind... The effort is there, that's the one thing i've definitely noticed, this team tries and it tries hard and really it never gives up, did they give up last night? I don't think so, i just think the short week caught up to them a bit later in the game, 4th quarter in particular, there is no lack of effort, this team definitely has heart and definitely shows effort week in week out, anyone who disagrees, you should watch the montreal and hamilton games again and tell me this team doesn't bring it until the end... I think what is annoying is all the bs that people claim after losses, the lack of effort stuff, it's all just BS really... the "should have signed that guy" stuff, the "should cut this guy" stuff... It's just crazy... Sometimes i wonder if some people have had a few too many adult beverages while watching some games cuz quite honestly, Reading a few comments, I really am not sure what games some people have been watching.. 5-3.. Who would have thought it.... Not a damn person. They lose a couple in a row and the sky is falling? BS. Guess the one thing everyone needs to remember is fan is short for "fanatic". That was the first game of the year really where the D actually didn't play very good and even then, they were still in it until the 4th really.. IMO though the wheels fell off in the last minute or so of the first, the time count penalty and then shank by lirim and touchdown by the argos was when i started saying, well.. crap, 5-3 it is... We got some holes, for sure, every team does... OL, Run game (go hand in hand i'm sure), lack of run D (that's an etch issue) but up until this past week really, didn't really hurt us, i know some people have gone on and on about Messam but bombers lost to sask because they turned the ball over 6 times, not cuz messam was able to run, 17 or 20 points off turnovers vs sask and we lost by 6... yeah we beat ourselves vs sask. Last night though, it was pretty obvious by the 4th quarter, late third, Our D was gassed... Like i said, Last night was what i'd consider the first really bad game the D has played all year, as a whole... prior to last night, they have been pretty damn solid actually, sure they give up yards but its the old bend but don't break d, up until last night, they bent but never broke, last night they broke. It is what it is. 5-3 is still better than everyone on this forum thought prior to the season, is the sky falling? I don't think so, do we have some issues? you bet. are those issues fixable? I think some are and some aren't right now.. the Oline issue is something that will take time to fix.
