That's not true at all, I'll say this much, There have been quite a few rumors out there that Enstrom is indeed available this season, That the Jets would and probably will move him. He might have a no trade clause, he does but that means very little in the big picture. Enstrom ain't getting any younger and if a team comes calling and asking about him, rumors had Pitt kicking the tires on him, then Chevy and The Jets can ask him if he would agree to go there, he can say yes or he can say no. He'd probably say yes, why? because why would you want to stay somewhere where you aren't really wanted. Enstrom probably will be moved either this season or in the off-season. I'd almost bet on it actually and if they sign both buff and trouba, you can bet your butt that Enstrom is gone the second those deals are signed. And when Enstrom is traded, people might be surprised at the return he gets, I see Toby going to an Eastern team tho, I think because of his size he's more suited to an Eastern Conference team, Why would he care which one it is really, he's still gonna be getting paid. He's the highest paid Jet right now, paid more than everyone on the team currently... He's being shopped for sure and will be moved sooner than some think.

Bob McKenzie on twitter yesterday. Look it up.
-
Buff is good to go. Hutch to start?
-
Because Floyd... that is what people with actual inside info are saying. It's trouba or buff and they get the sense it's one or the other.
-
Just more rider fans are like that tho.
-
Man. Guess only 1 guy got the part about buff or Trouba. It's not about trading enstrom or Myers. It's who do you keep between buff and trouba
-
Most of the nhl insiders seem to be suggesting that the Jets can't keep both Buff and Trouba. Makes kind of sense when you think about it so simple question.....who do you keep and why? It's not Buff vs Enstrom or Myers. It's Buff vs Trouba. Trouba will get paid this off season also.... by the Jets. This might be what some are forgetting. Trouba is RFA. Scheif. Lowry. Is Helle? Don't think so but would be next year .... So Do you keep 30 year old Buff or 20 something Trouba? Sounds like keeping both isn't a legit option
-
Buff is a possibility for tomorrow according to Maurice so he's probably not as hurt as it looked
-
Jets owned in third big time. Problems still exist with this team but hell of a game. Ladd with a quiet 3 points. Wheeler and little were solid. Ehlers stepping up big time. 4 points now in last 7 games. Kids been playing well the last while . Basically since he got put with Perreault. Thorburn is an anchor out there. Just so slow and no vision at all. 4th line really solid. Helle was peppered in the 3rd.

I'd sign buff. There's an if with that tho. Can't be more than 5 years. Also you'd have to trade Myers and probably Enstrom then cuz you can't invest that much money in to just the D. Sign buff but that probably means moving enstrom for sure and probably myers. Id be fine with that. If it's Ladd or Buff. .. it's Buff. But I'm not sure it is. We will see what they do.
-
Great start. Moron Maurice Stu Chiarot Thorburn Lowry Burmi Ridiculous
-
Short term pain for long term gain. This team when it is a playoff contender... it's gonna be with scheif ehlers Connor helle trouba... the kids. The Ladds and buffs will be long gone. Draft and develop not overpay for 30 year Olds who really won't make that much of a difference. With buff and Ladd we are a playoff bubble team who is 26th overall in the league. Change is coming and it's about time. Should have done this 5 years ago really.
-
It's all about managing your money. You can't spend that much on your d and expect to have any forwards unless they are all on ELC deals. It doesn't work and with the Canadian dollar the way it is. .. Jets won't be a cap team or even close to it. Outside of Montreal and Toronto none of the cdn teams will be. It's easy to say give buff this or that but reality is there is a cap and in 2 years let's say when a guy like ehlers or even helle or maybe a kyle Connor or Mathews even needs to get paid and buff and your d is making like 40 percent of your budget... you are gonna lose them. Paying your d that much just doesn't work. People aka fans think short term. Management at least good ones think long term. Sure would suck to lose scheif or Trouba or Ehlers helle or Connor cuz buff is making 7 million a year.
-
Jets D is already the 2nd highest paid d in the league. Something has to give there. Trouba gonna get a raise... probably 5 million. Enstrom makes Damn near 6 million. Myers makes about what? 5 ish. Buff at 7 or more. Sorry it don't work. You gotta trade buff or Trouba and enstrom. You can't be spending that much on your d. Just silly. And for the record due to his lack of commitment off the ice I don't think trouba deserves 5 million plus he hasn't done much on it to prove he is worth that but that's what he will probably get. Someone needs to go. Jets need money to pay their forwards too.

Didn't Ottawa release lemon so he could sign with San Fran. Was he let go already from the 49ers? ?
-
I'm not sure that I believe that is the term buff wants. If it is.... he'd be signed

Riders going young

Dressler please. Chick at the right price would be fine with me also

Want to see who they called out? Watch Ladd buff trouba and Toby tonight. See if they give a crap. But it's little things you need to watch for. Back checking. Finishing checks. Effort level. Discipline. Things that might go unnoticed by the avg fan but won't go unnoticed by those who play the game. It's little things wheeler and little is referring 2. Not giving up on a 2 on 1. Busting your ass to get back and help. Sacrificing your body to block shots. Going to the greasy areas. Standing in front of the net. This is a big one. Part of me hopes Ladd buff etc don't get the message and are dealt . And if it's like last game where Preds dominated but helle or hutch stands on his head and the jets win... problems still exist. Jets need to come out and dominate or change will happen

Turner is funny but not that reliable. I understand that it's his thoughts and I actually agree
-
Plus Minus means nothing. useless stat. Lowry Burmi and Chiarot? Seriously, the one thing Burmi gives is effort, he may not have the points to show for it but you can't question his effort level. How is calling out 3 depth guys a big deal? It's obviously not them, it might be one of them but i doubt it... It's Buff,It's Ladd,It's Toby,It's Trouba. and if you actually watch them on the ice, Their GAD factor doesn't appear to be to high. It's guys who were here for a while, Lowry is a sophomore, he's played better since his call up, It's not him. It's guy who have been here a while for sure, It's speculation at best but my top candidates are Ladd,Buff,Trouba,Toby.

KC also, Not sure Brady is 100 percent healthy and KC has been on a roll, 11 straight wins i believe. GB for me, Just think Rodgers is a big game player and will step up and beat the Cards Carolina.. My favorite to win it all this year, only because I like Newton and am starting to dislike the riders of the south, SeaHawks Denver.. However if Big Ben is healthy, I think Pitt has a chance to pull it off Anyways, guess this can go here... San Fran named a new head coach today... former Eagles Coach...Chip Kelly. Interesting signing there.

Little says #NHLJets should follow Wheeler's lead: "Showing how much he cares, it's got to rub off on some of these guys at some point." Wonder who he is referencing here? Ladd? Buff? I'd guess that those would be 2 of them, Myers? Enstrom? Cuz you look at the roster and ... Stafford? He's played well. Been a pleasant surprise Ehlers? Rookie who has been getting better Perreault? Gives it his all every shift and is obvious he does Scheif? He's hurt but gives it his all also... Thorbs? He is what he is and they know that Stu? He is what he is and they know that Trouba? He's been playing much better recently Lowry? Again playing much better since his recall Armia? Rookie basically Copp? Rookie basically Burmi? Not playing as well but a possession monster and definitely tries hard Who does that leave really.. It leaves Ladd and it leaves Buff. I believe Ladd and to an extent Buff have CHECKED OUT and in a somewhat subtle way have been called out by their buddies Wheeler and Little, altho none of us have any clue what goes on in that room so maybe they aren't as buddy buddy as has been suggested in the past. Not sure if anyone noticed but the last couple games, instead of talking to Ladd, a guy like Ehlers seems to be spending more time chatting with Wheeler on the bench, Scheif did that earlier in the season too, last year Scheif was more so talking with Ladd on the bench, this year it's been Wheeler. Little things but in the big picture, they probably mean lots. Watch for it tonight, the younger guys seem to be gravitating more towards Wheeler than Ladd, Scheif would be 2 if he wasn't hurt. Part of the reason I think trading both Ladd and Buff is for the better is basically, they don't give it their all game in game out, that's not a good example to set for the youngsters, Buff could be dominating, when he feels like it tho, and that's not a guy I want the younger guys to be looking up too, I want them to be looking up to wheeler, little, perreault, who give it their all night in night out, Hell, thorburn has a ton of warts and is not a very good hockey player but the one thing you can't do, is question his heart and work ethic. The guy tries hard night in night out. That's a good guy to have around. It's guy like Ladd and Buff who take way 2 many nights off that are the problem and it's becoming more and more obvious.

Same Old, Same Old or Unique Free Agency
Goalie replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Like most teams, i'm sure they have a list of guys that interests them, just off the top of my head, let's say Andrew Harris is one of them, I just think he's gonna sign here, perhaps a little inside info on that one, who knows but... They want him, he wants to be here. They will sign him. Other areas, Dline, Think they have made that quite clear that they are looking to upgrade the Dline, There are a couple guys still out there, Laurent,Capicotti etc... They will rank them 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. etc and go after the guys they want Oline, same thing. Receiver, same thing. That's how they will do it. Make a list of guys they want and then go after them and offer them money to come here. Really that simple. Don't think theres any magic formula or any other way of doing things, You make a list of the players you want and then you go out and make them offers. That simple. -
Same Old, Same Old or Unique Free Agency

What exactly do you mean by this? The bombers and specifically since taking over, Walters has been very active signing free agents and I expect the same from them this off-season also. Harris,Carter,Dressler or Smith (whoever sask decides to let go off), Oline,Dline, I expect the bombers to be very active. Walters has proven that over his time here, the one thing he has done well really, among other things but mainly the one thing he's always done is go after free agents.
