I think he's average. He's not worth anywhere near 400k... nevermind 450 K. .. I'd probably offer him 325 350 K max in a take it or leave it type of offer. I think he's a smug arrogant person and I rarely never enjoy his little articles but Doug browns piece on Nichols in the free press was pretty much bang on. Essentially the point is... Comrie isn't ready and deserves to be playing in the A. Not sitting. Pavelec had 6 years of below average goaltending. He has no future here. It's helle and Hutch this year for sure. Instead of worrying about goaltending so much... should probably just understand that it's pretty much a developmental year.

You look at the players not including the older ones (wheeler little etc ) and all are young and not In their prime yet. Scheif Ehlers Laine Dano Morrissey Trouba... that's 6 right there. If you add guys like Connor and Roslovic who I'd consider to be part of our future... 8. I'm not certain that Trouba is part of our future... I see Colorado in his future and possibly Landeskog here.... but ya. It bodes well for the future.

It's hard to say if our assistants play a significant role or are just basically yes men for Maurice. I dunno. When he was hired permanently he had the choice to let huddy Flaherty and Vincent go... he decided to keep them tho. Vincent is now head coach of the Moose where he looks to be pretty competent... moose Powerplay and PK much more exciting than the Jets also so does make you wonder a bit. Our PP and PK look pretty similar to the pp and pk from last year. Vincent is with the Moose tho. Makes you think that maybe our assistants are a bunch of yes men.

Don't think Jets are practicing much this week. Think Maurice said it's time to just rest for a couple days. They do need to but man... it's a tough decision.... 32 games in 60 days is tough... for guys like Wheeler Buff Laine Scheif they all played at the WC so even more for them. They need the rest and guys like Scheif and Wheeler for sure definitely need to heal up. Maurice is hopefully in the video room with the team tho.... I'm not sure being on the ice is tge best thing for them right now... they just finished a stretch where they were on it playing games pretty much every other day... I don't like the schedule excuse and I don't buy it but... it did appear that the last few games they were just running on fumes. Basically I think they went all out Vs St Louis and Chicago in that back to back then were really just running on empty.
