Most of these rumours are from dudes looking for likes and views but the actual insiders say 2 center plus or he’s a jet. He’s under contract till 2031 and rumours are he hasn’t demanded a trade but he’d also be ok moving on. So Chevy ain’t trading him for a **** goalie and a pick. We aren’t rebuilding.

And I’m just destroying my feet by walking around 10 hours a day or night. not my entire body like they are. Why do you assume guys cut by other teams, especially Canadians like Korn are better? Korn isn’t great but he’s prob better than several cuts around the league plus he’s familiar with our system. Reality likely is all the cuts across the league are likely similarly skilled. Korn knows the system here. That means he has a leg up on random dude Sask cut.

I think trading him is for the best. Trading him will prob make us a better team overall. And I think ppl will see that Helle is very much a system goalie and if you don’t play it perfectly, he can be lit up. If he don’t wanna be here, then send him away now b4 his value drops. Cuz I don’t think he has another MVP or Vézina calibre season in him anymore.

Why would Edmonton want Helle? They’d have to give us Draisaitl or something similar to make the cap work. Also Helle is terrible in the playoffs. Recent Playoff Breakdown 2024: 1-4-0 record, 5.23 GAA, and .864 save percentage in 5 games. 2023: 1-4-0 record, 3.44 GAA, and .886 save percentage in 5 games. Career Playoff Totals Record: 20-29-0 GAA: 2.95 Save Percentage: .905 Shutouts: 1 Really hasn’t been good since we went on the run to the conference finals and then was outplayed by fleury that series. It’s easy to win on an all star team like team USA with a 200 million dollar cap hit. But when push comes to shove and dude isn’t on all star teams, he chokes when it matters most. 2 weeks on a larger ice surface in Europe don’t change that especially cuz he went back to being crap the second he got back.

People pretending the name change didn’t play a role are delusional. It’s not the only reason, of course losing plays a role and a much older cfl fan base who is aging out also plays a role. But pretending the name change didn’t matter when thousands of Eskimos fans complained loudly and still do is crazy. Might not matter to the bomber fan or rider fan but it matters to the Edmonton fan. Every market Is unique and different. What works in Winnipeg won’t work elsewhere and what works elsewhere might not work here. Edmonton? A large portion of the fan base is not happy with the name change. If our name was forced to change because a bunch of white dudes decided it’s offensive, ppl would be pissed here also

I dunno. The name could play a role in Alberta. Eskimos was also a very popular and memorable name to people. Alberta leans a little right so I could see this being a problem there specifically just like I think less ppl would go to oilers games if they changed their name or were forced because of a vocal minority group of individuals. Rumours were the northern folk were ok with the name so why wouldn’t the others right. Alberta.
