  1. Considering the last four lottery winners didn't finish last, and the new rules giving the 30th team the lowest chance to retain the pick than ever before, nothing is guaranteed. Tanking tells your fans you encourage losing. The majority of top picks never win the Stanley Cup. Or atleast with the team that drafted them.
  2. Warren Moon in the CFL and Warren Moon in the NFL is skewed because of the difference in the games. Hence why if we're labeling QB's under a category, you have to sort of alter the definition from true pocket passer and scrambler.
  3. Quarterback wins is the most overrated stat there is.
  4. Riders play better at home, even when Durant is out. The road has been an absolute disaster, so we'll see how they do in Calgary. They've lost by 80 in 3 road games, and by 12 in 2 home losses.
  5. Bombers have 42 turnovers, and given up 94 points off of them. In wins: 14 turnovers (2.3/g), 16 points off (2.7/g) In losses: 28 turnovers (3.1/g), 78 points off (8.7/g) Offence has turned the ball over atleast once in every game with a breakdown of: 1 - 1 2 - 8 3 - 3 4+ - 3 Bombers have 28 takeaways, and scored 69 points off of them. In wins: 16 takeaways (2.7/g), 53 points off (8.8/g) In losses: 12 takeaways (1.3/g), 16 points off (2.7/g) Defence has taken the ball away in 12 of 15 games, with a breakdown of: 1 - 4 2 - 3 3 - 3 4+ - 2 The Bombers are 3-0 in games with less turnovers. That's obvious, everyone knows that teams are more likely to win. Here's the issue. They're 3-0 in games with less turnovers and they've played 15.... They have lost the turnover battle in 11 of those other 12 games and have a record of 3-8. Now, if it was 1 turnover per game and they were losing, blame the defence perhaps for not doing their share in the turnover battle. But when - in 14 games, you have turned the ball over multiple times, that is clearly a problem. Let's make that clear. The Bombers have a record of 3-8 when losing the turnover battle. The rest of the league is 4-49. Four wins. The Bombers have three. While the defence hasn't been spectacular, they have certainly done their job in having the Bombers at 6 wins, when they should, or could have 3 or 4.
  6. Current CFL guys I would consider. Keyword consider. Also does not include those currently working as Coordinators. Jarious Jackson - Esks QB Pete Costanza - Stamps WR Marcus Crandell - Redblacks QB Tony Missick - Stamps DB Barron Miles - Riders DB
  7. Hence the aforementioned Canadian who can give you that production. Right now they don't have it. Next June, they very well may, and if he can't compete on defence, then yes, he would not be worth the spot.
  8. I'd bring Unamba back. Has had a very good year on specials. Always can use those guys. Though if you can find a Canadian to be that guy that changes things.
  9. There are other ways to go about it.
  10. As already pointed out, having experience gives you an upper hand, but if you're willing to do the extra work, success can be found. Plenty of cases of experienced coordinators who have failed too in addition to those without the experience.
  11. Ultimately it comes down to interpretation from the Head Coach and/or General Manager about the players they had at their disposal. Thus far in 2014, the Bombers offence has averaged 9 yards and 2 points more per game than last season.
  12. That is a fairly accurate assessment.
  13. Bombers have already allowed 58 sacks this year, compared to 50 last year. On track for the most allowed since 2005 when the Lions gave up 74.
  14. Plenty assume that it's not Henry's fault. Watching the games a couple of times, I have laid the blame at about 60-40, with Henry being the 40%.
  15. Edmonton signed Paris Jackson, which seems to confirm they were looking for a Canadian R.
  16. I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 4m O'Shea says Willy couldn't hear play call, which lead to timecount violation on second and goal in final seconds. #Bombers Call his own play. You got it You guys act like this is the NFL where the QB has 40 seconds to react if he doesn't get the play call in. The coach tells him that MB makes the play calls, not him, and if MB isn't sending in the play call or they're having technical difficulties, the QB doesn't have time to go...oh screw it, I'll just call a play and then have time to tell his team what the play is. He's either got to be given the OK to call his own play, or be told he has to wait for the OC to call it. This is a rookie starting QB here. This isn't Ray at the helm who's been doing this for 10 years. Geez you guys, think about what you're saying. Thanks for the advice. We teach our high school quarterbacks to call their own play, or at the very least a QB sneak if something breaks down on the play sent in. The reason behind that is it's typically a rare occasion, and anything is better than a penalty, especially LOD.

  18. The ads are fine. Fans call each other worse than horrible human beings.
  19. Right now I am listening to a yapping rat. Oh no wait it's just Phil Simms.
  20. He was not. I saw a tweet from someone sending their thoughts to Terry, and was curious what happened, and then noticed that Bironas was his son in law
  21. There's more.... holy **** http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/2014/09/23/students-say-rob-bironas-chased-threatened/16096649/?sf31485046=[%271%27]

  23. The offence scored 28 points. Not too shabby. And? Can you elaborate as to why that is relevant to what I said.
  24. The best thing Sunseri did in the game was not turn the ball over. That was a typical Rider win from the first half of the season. Hang around, extend the game, and force the opponent into a mistake.
