  1. Good for him for lasting as long as he did. He's awful. Picked up by the Bucs and was cut again today. Next stop AFL
  2. Was also expecting something different after seeing the helmets. Reaction was "oh." I like them though.
  3. I bet the NFL paid Braley under the table to let those guys go. Slap in the face to the Argo fans... First of all, the NFL isn't paying anybody under the table for middling talents. Second of all, why is it a slap in the face? They wouldn't be recruiting those players unless they made those promises of an early release, so you have to ask yourself - would you rather have them for a shortened period of time? Or not at all? Yip. Argos won a Grey Cup thanks to the help of many of those players who left for the NFL with a valid CFL contract at first opportunity.
  4. I've seen some people talk about why the CFL wouldn't want Josh Gordon here, and the tickets they could sell, etc. Josh Gordon might be the NFL's least recognizible star player.
  5. As for Bilukidi, I'd say he is 50/50 to make the Bengals. Variables that favour him, variables that don't. Mulumba probably doesn't make it because they drafted Bradford, added Peppers, and he hasn't exactly played outstanding. I'd expect someone to pick him up though.
  6. I think Muamba makes the Colts simply so he can't get away to another roster if they try to sneak him on the PR. The top 4 spots are locked up, so he would be battling for the 5th and presumably final.
  7. What makes the CFL a 'joke' from that aspect for me is when a guy like Inman, Armstead, Ball, (insert Argos player here) gets cut with a valid contract to go to the NFL. I don't have any issues with a guy not under contract going to the CFL, suspension or not.
  8. I'd rather see the NFL talent showcased in the CFL than the AFL. JMO though.
  9. @adamschefter: Per @mortreport to ESPN: WR Josh Gordon will explore the possibility of playing in the Canadian Football League the remainder of the year. This one won't happen.
  10. Brazill is suspended for the 2014 season at least. He could play next year, but would have to be re-instated by the league. Hence why signing in the CFL and showing good behaviour is an asset for him.
  11. Brazill has speeeeeeeeeeeeeed. Showed flashes of ability with the Colts. Could be a could snag for the Argos for the last half of the season.
  12. With SJ Green as a free agent, and Duron Carter gone to the NFL, it could get pretty thin for the Alouettes at WR next season.
  13. Ottawa is doing what they have to do to land a star player. They could offer 200K, but that's not going to keep him from going to Sask. Plus, it's not like Ottawa is loaded with star players and big money. They have room to spend, and they're using it to their advantage.
  14. Videos pleaing for him to come back today... videos of jersey burnings next week.
  15. I believe that was Reebok's idea behind the new look.
  16. I wonder what the mark is for Dressler to take the paycut to go to Sask. I'll guess 50-75K is the max.
  17. 1. Montreal 2. Hamilton 3. BC 4. Ottawa 5. Toronto 6. Saskatchewan 7. Winnipeg If Calgary's look anything like that helmet, they'll rise to #1 immediately.
  18. Anderson isn't worth it, Sinkfield couldn't catch a cold, and Johnson is lost in the RB shuffle and can easily be replaced for the contribution he has given them.
  19. Expansion team has to pay the price to get players. Not surprising.
  20. Why? Bartel is a non-import and has an almost identical average punt average as Schmitt this year. Bartel has struggled this year. It's tough to tell with stats. After week 8, Bartell has 1 punt more than Schmitt with Schmitt's average 0.1 yards per punt better (Bartell 44.3 while Schmitt is 44.4). Their net averages are 2 yards different (Bartell 37.5, Schmitt 35.5). Bartel has had 13 punts inside the 20 yard line and 5 inside the 10 yard line while Schmitt has 11 inside the 20 and 2 inside the 5. I see 44.8 for Bartel and 44.6 for Schmitt on CFL.ca Anyways, it's Bartel's best year average wise. I saw that too but in the game analysis report for week 8 at CFL Media it had 44.3 and 44.4. Gotcha. They have so many different variations of the same stat I don't know what to believe.
  21. That doesn't necessarily speak to leg strength. No, but considering Palardy has slightly better career accuracy, it's to his advantage that he is making longer field goals on average.
  22. Bowman will move, obviously. Just like when the Riders took advantage of John Chick against Cordarro Howard.
  23. FWIW, Palardy's career made field goal average is 32 yards, compared to Milo's 29.
