  1. The gold on the digital camo wouldn't have been shiny/glittery though, so that's not even an accurate photoshop.
  2. Could have been better with different placement of the digital camo. Don't like it on the shoulders.
  3. If they use him in the running game, it should be receiver sweeps, etc.
  4. I see where you're coming from but... you're basing everything on the assumption that the eastern teams will always be bad. The same number of teams will be without playoff revenue with or without a single division. With a single division, it will always be the worst teams. I don't think the East vs West is what makes the Grey Cup a national celebration. I'd rather have the two best teams play. I do believe that we need as many teams in the CFL as possible and that losing any would cause major concerns. Giving the east free spots on the Bingo card might allow more of them to be viable. Maybe it's one reason that the CFL has lasted so long. The assumption is based off the fact that the East hasn't been the dominant division in 13 years. Yeah, teams would rotate missing the playoffs, but if it is continually two East and only one home game, they're going to start to lose money.
  5. Durant, Getzlaf, Bagg, Picard, and LaBatte all signed new extensions in the off-season. They also re-signed Taj Smith, who already made 100K, Terrell Maze, who likely makes close to if not more being one of the league's top HB's. Milo probably got a pretty decent raise too after his 2013 season.
  6. Good for him for lasting as long as he did. He's awful.
  7. He sold his house in Regina in the offseason and his girlfriend now lives with him. Unless she has a piano tied to her arse she can move with him elsewhere in the CFL. You are probably right that he ends up back in Regina, but it won't be the no-brainer you think it is. There are 2 teams who have already confirmed they will be throwing their hat in the ring on Dressler. (Ottawa and Toronto)...wouldn't surprise me if there are more. It never ceases to amaze me how Rider fans seem to think there team and city is some kind of Shangri-La that players would never consider leaving elsewhere for. Heard the same tripe about Andy Fantuz, Craig Butler, etc etc. Taman will need to break out the cheque book in a big way for Dressler, if he doesn't he will lose him to someone else. Unfortunately for the RIders that probably handcuffs them if Sheets comes back or in renegotiating new contracts for guys like Chick, TBrack etc. before FA. Taman may be considered a hero now over there, but they are about to find out that his long term SMS strategy is not fundamentally sound. So how would Toronto be able to offer any more money than Sask? They have just as many big names to 're-sign'... would think Sask has the advantage in that people actually show up to their games. The Argos probably have 1-3 guys (if that) on their starting defence making six digits, many of those guys who aren't are fresh to the CFL too, so they aren't due for a new contract for another year. They very likely have quite ample cap space.
  8. Yeah, but it's different when a guy goes in for a skill position. Just putting Stoudermire in the game won't surprise the defence, as he wouldn't line up at tight end or something like that. The plays themselves is the info that would be barred from public knowledge.
  9. Would be interesting to see the reaction amongst Rider fans if Dressler signed elsewhere.
  10. Interesting statement. How would that work? This year is obviously (hopefully) an exception, but you would have three Eastern teams miss the playoffs, and no playoff revenue, considering the 4th would be on the road. Two East Division teams probably miss the playoffs almost every year (3/4 when Ottawa was last in the league), and you may get one home game. Further to that, while the Grey Cup is a Canadian celebration, are Eastern fans going to continue to have interest if the West starts to represent two teams each year. I think you need the East Division to be alive to simply continue to generate some revenue there and have two teams hosting playoff games.
  11. One division could cripple the league financially.
  12. Milo is 76% since he boinked a 21 yarder off the upright last year to end his streak. Johnny Mark will be their kicker next year.
  13. Popp deserves blame for what has happened at QB, but that's a pretty damn good roster overall. Get a quarterback and they're winning 8-10 games. The fact that they have only two receivers in the Top 40 for yards is embarrassing. Duron Carter averages less than a first down per reception. A couple guys have missed time, but the Argos have 5 receivers in the Top 40, and they've had more injuries at the position than anyone.
  14. Jonathan Manziel is further behind most of the quarterbacks who get drafted and go on to play in the league. Way behind. I have my doubts that he will put in the time and effort to make things work. It was easy at A&M. He had an all-star offensive line, a Top 5 pick at receiver. Just ran around and make something happen. His career has started the exact way that all his pundits figured it would.
  15. Not sure if Dressler even accepts a PR spot. Would make more money in the CFL.
  16. I like it. Still not a big fan of that helmet though. Maybe when I see them on the field.
  17. No kidding. I'm a Wings fan, so I don't watch a lot of regular season hockey, other than when they're on CBC or TSN will sometimes check out HNIC if it's the Leafs vs Canadiens or something like that.
  18. Maybe a little bit. I think more Q's have been injured while running than in the pocket the past couple years. Perhaps I am wrong.
  19. Inman should be a reserve / special teams guy for the Chargers. Might be able to sneak in to the #5 spot. Sheets only has to beat out one guy to make the Raiders roster if they keep three running backs.
  20. 1. Holy ****. 2. Holy **** why aren't you going for two.
  21. We need to make a Rod Black ***** thread.
  22. Rod Black says the penalty is for the punt going out of bounds in the air... while clearly it bounced out, and the penalty is for holding. What an embarrassment.
  23. Reminds me of when Glen Suitor was talking about zone and man defence last week.
  24. Rod Black just said that something he said didn't make much sense. He finally figured it out.
