Chris Jones in Toronto would be very, very entertaining- for the rest of the league.

As you say, replacing Oliviera with an import back ought to be easy, but we have not had much success finding dominant import running backs. If we have a dominant set of receivers, then ahaving a decent, if not all-star RB is not ctiical, IMO. He would just have to be good enough to rack up 4-5 yards from time to time to keep the Linebackers honest.

I think the backup QB issue usage has been beaten to death in other threads, and us flapping our gums will have zero effect on O'Shea.

No viable option? Terry Wilson might have been able to save the game, but we will never no and O'Shea made sure of that. He will do so again, given an opportinity.

I suggest that O'Shea is promoting a "tweak" because if he conceded that a major rebuild is needed, that would reflect on his management of the team.

Given O'Shea's track record and my cynicism about him, I expect that if Elgersma does make it up here and does not kiss the ring, O'Shea will give him minimum training camp reps, trot him out in for a brief stint in pre-season games, pronounce him as "not ready" and maroon him on the bench.

No matter how you look at it, O'Shea screwed up due to his stubbornness and there is no reason to believe he will be any different in future.

Als could have survived that if Alexander had been healthy.

Alexander's hamstring made it nearly impossible to zing the ball accurately and taking off was not an option. That was the difference.

I admire your enthusiasm but question your sanity. I would want a medical report before signing him, but, pending that, he would instantly become our best prospect for starter. That O-line, though.....

I think we will have a bit of improvement at the beginning of next year followed by a descent back to the same old, same old. Forced compliance rarel;y produces transformation, and O'Shea will see his 3 year contract as a validation of his modus operandi.
