Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
I feel embarrassed for the TiCat fans. They are actually paying to watch their team comes unhinged.

Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
Masoli's running is pretty much like a squirrel crossing a street.

Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
Bladek didn't look bad the last time he came in, so I'm not sure how much the Riders lose.

Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
Ok, Masoli has a reprieve.

Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
Gawd, but Masoli is beyond terrible. We're gonna see Collaros real soon.

OMG! Ticats have a first down!

Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
Pretty sloppily played game so far. Bridge has horrible throwing mechanics and Masoli has no time at all. Gonna have to fight to stay awake, but sometimes these games are fun to watch even though the coaches are having strokes on the sidelines watching.

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
There's other issues with Rainey. According to a friend who is a Lions fanatic and attends a lot of the practices, Rainey is a me-first sort of player and not well-liked by his team mates. But he did sneak into the league and turfing him as an afterthought would be difficult.

What to do about the D?
The coaches finally twigged onto what the majority of this forum has been saying for weeks. Maybe by this time next year, Hurl will be identified as a weak link in the defense.

I'm expecting a close scrambly game and Hamilton to eke out a win. Glenn will be a non-factor.

No. When healthy, both Wild and Leggett are better and he has the wrong passport to replace Hurl.

Lordy, lordy. The Montreal situation is giving me flashbacks about the Glieberguy's era in Ottawa.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
The problem is see is how much CFL oversight would slow the game down- we've had enough of that already. Nail ém in the pocketbook afterwards and penalize their team by it having to put in a different player next game.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
At game speed it is often difficult to make the right call. However, in the event of the hit like the one on Reilly last game, there ought to be a recourse. Maybe each game should be reviewed by player safety and any intents to injure should result in at least a one game suspension. Similarly hits to the knees and such where a player cannot defend himself ought to warrant a similar penalty.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
The reduction in full-contact practices may be a sop to the players' association. Apparently when a player is injured, he receives benefits for 12 months, and then he is on his own. Several teams have been trying to get WCB in their provinces to cover CFL players but so far nothing has been put in place. The players association is really pushing for extended, open-ended benefits for players but the owners are near-panicked over this issue.

Does anyone on the Ticat roster look really good this year? Maybe Tyms' bullpoop quota for the year was exceeded.

How can coaches assess the abilities of new linemen without full-contact drills?

Montreal Fires Chapdelaine and Thorpe
Whoa there, big fella. On 1290 Radio this afternoon, Madani was asked for his comments about the Montreal mess, and several of his observations were very interesting. Firstly, Kavis Reed was told that if he wanted to be GM, he had to accept Chapdelaine ans head coach. Chapdelaine was told by Reed that if he wanted the HC job, he had to accept Thorpe as DC. There's a recipe for conflict right there. Moreover, team discipline had broken down entirely with no consequences for bad performances or lackluster efforts. Also- Chapdelaine and Thorpe disliked each other and Thorpe does not play well with others and resists direction from above. Thorpe likes to be left alone to do his job without any perceived interference, so I'm not sure if that would make him a good fit here.

Had a quick boo at the Riderfans website. The commentary was surprisingly moderate.
