nope....With Clericus here now.....doing stuff Sheed did...I can see KJ Hill as the front runner now.....as they have cut Thompson.....and he can return as well which bodes well as a back up if we DI a dedicated returner/part time offensive snaps guy which we likely do

Hill is an interesting  case. Seems to be smart, talented, good attitude and versatile. Has done kick returns but do not know how well.

Dunigan also had the misfortune of having an absolute wingnut of an owner.

And a wingnut who left a pile of unpaid debts behind when he bolted. Classy.

Free Press and Sun are both pumping out 2-3 stories per day.

Not too hard to find or get around paywall if you have internet skill.

Control-upshift-N to go dark through a paywall.

Moses I like...was a top 15 in us recruit out of high-school and could be a legit guy on our roster.

He had basically 1 real injury and came back and had a slight cartilage issue he played thru...prob should have got it fixed and sat 6 weeks but soldiered on.

He's 4 yrs removed now from injury...and I been told by some people who have trained with him he is 100 percent looks real good.. and has the urge to get back to football...could be a real score for us and man o man I hope we go Cole at SAM and have him as the DI Cole played last year and rotates reps at will and Mac and plays teams as he cuts his teeth.

His CV is good enough that he is definitely worth a looksee.

If you guys think there are actually going to be any live 100% effort one on one reps against roster players, you’re nuts lol

He’s going to go out there, run a few routes, maybe have Jordan Younger suit up and let the seniors give it all they got a couple times and the rest of the time it will literally be 0% serious

As an aside, Bombers made a whole bunch of moves yesterday/today.

Release DB Anthony Blue, signed a whole whack of Americans.

    DB CJ Siegel

    LB Dylan Moses

    LB John Petrishen

    LB Tre Thomas

    OL Chidi Okeke

So Bombers are not feeling quite as Blue as before?

Yup like when I volunteered coaching and tried to sell a triple reverse flea flicker to the head coach that would require 38 seconds for the play to materialize. My goal was to make the middle vein of his head throb with frustration. Goal achieved!

Can only imagine the blank stares the budding football players would have as you tired to explain the play.

Even in pass pro it is soo much more important at T than guard. You can cover for a guard pretty easily too with a good T or C.

the difference between grant, and every one else was gigantic. I don’t think we need some one to make us forget grant, I’m not expecting a multi td kr this year. Maybe no kr tds. But at least we need some one cover teams have to work to cover, catches the ball clean as much as possible, makes the right decisions, and gets north south asap while gathering respectable yards.
Couple of the guys we brought in with kr experience looked good in college. So I’m hopeful. Personally, a kr/wr who can run some sweeps opposite of Demski and start at wr while returning is the dream. Saving a roster spot, especially a di is as good as being game breaking.

we could spell a starting wr in coverage some with guys like ford. I’d love to see Clercius and MCI get reps at returning kicks too.

Maybe the Gassama kid will do that.

But. They're. Not. Making. Any. Money.

My son in Seattle doesn't have cable. He has Hulu CBS Sports, Netfklix, Paramount Plus, Disney Plus... but he has to plug his laptop into his tv to watch a CFL game from TSN after CBS Sports stopped televising games on their sports streaming service after the NFL started.

    He could try IPTV

    LB preview https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/04/24/positional-preview-3-the-linebackers-2/

Not a lot of fresh talent here. Hope the couple guys brought in are good because Biggie is on the downslope.

DB preview from yesterday too https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/04/23/positional-preview-2-the-defensive-backs/

Offense lost but the D still allowed Cody @$%!ing Fajardo to put up 3 TDs on them.  Almost like it is a team game or something and not all the blame can be put on one player.

Bighill would do better and last longer if the d-line kept the 340lb behemoths off him. Which is another way of saying we need a dominant nose tackle.

Our QB stable is best in league.....people are under valuing Strev big time....and he got handed that "not a passer" tag really for no particular reason other than from what lapo tried to morph him into in his second yr...That signing is gonna prove to be huge.

Barriere as well is as legit a prospect coming to Canada as there has been in yrs...I was shocked we actually got him signed as heard he had quite a few camp prospects, but I think he took the Strev route and didn't wanna be a camp arm, with no real legit opportunity, and deal with NFL polotics...win win for us.

The beauty of this yr is this will help ZC immensely if not for the fact he is not gonna try to play outside himself like last year and have those forced errors...as he has a Legit guy now behind him chomping at the bit....and the heavy rotation we will see is also gonna add to his effectiveness

Havn't really went over the roster much as of late as have been back and forth from Cali, but looking forward to as some have mentioned what Thompson could bring, as well if Grant is not back Cruickshank, who is a lil more polished all around.

My guy tho who is under the radar and should be one to watch is Chris Smith....he's a legit as legit talent as we have brought up in yrs too, and can see him cracking the roster in some capacity...he is also a legit returner and was highly ranked as such for the NFL...legit break away speed and can be that multi tool guy that we tried to turn Mcrae into....But Smith is so much better.

Curious how we approach the global draft, as well as the CIS one...there are 2 legit d-line guys in the global pool who I believe can step right in as a rotation piece, as well as contribute on teams...and I still have this feeling we are gonna do some draft day moves. This ys camp is gonna be interesting as there are jobs to be had, and actual talent brought in to take the spots, and possibly really push some vets

Cannot understand how McRae was kept around as long as he has been, unless he worked for minimum wage. He may be multi-talented ,but usually that means he isn't real good at anything at particular.
