This seems like a giant troll job by some Rider players. I don't doubt something happened in practice but that description from Madani defies belief (Staffers setting up fights? uh huh. ). Maybe Carter takes a seat for Friday's game or maybe not. But this reeks of more of the attention grabbing the Riders have been doing all season. Go back to working on your 1st Down err I mean TD celebrations fellas. The Hadoken/Street Fighter thing is played out. Maybe try some Mortal Kombat stuff.

I'd say Myers has been alright just needs to get back into it since he's missed so much time this past year. He's certainly looked better than Buff, Enstrom, and (Game 1) Trouba so far. I like the effort Matthias puts in but he just can't finish. At all. Feel sorry for him honestly. Other than that he's a quality bottom 6 forward. As for the game I know the shot totals may not show it but I was very impressed with the defensive effort the Jets put forth. Keeping their PP to the outside for the most part, keeping on McDavid at all times and active sticks whenever the Oilers had a quality chance. Huge difference from the previous games. Does not having Buff in the lineup and starting Helle really make all the difference? I bet it was Dano . But seriously I'm curious what knocked them out of their funk, and more importantly can they maintain this.

They were assuming the TiCats were going for it so the D was out there. To be somewhat fair Masoli was under centre to start the play. We didn't recognize until too late what was happening when Masoli dropped back and Banks ran around behind him when the ball was snapped. Good play by the TiCats but we were definitely caught napping.

Got to the point in the 2nd Half where it seemed Loffler was the only guy playing the middle of the field just past the LOS. Seemed to be in on many of the plays there. Good if you're the actual MLB but a bad sign if you're the Safety. Good on him for the effort.

With the role that Hall has Hurl play, basically a plug on the line, they may as well use a DL/DE instead of Hurl. That way the DL/DE could actually shed a block and make a play instead of being quickly taken out like Hurl often is. And before someone points out that Hurl sometimes drops into coverage I've seen Hurl in coverage and it's not pretty. This was an idle thought I had during the game so I'm not really being too serious here. But it does make you think. How has Briggs looked to those with better football knowledge? I notice he seems to play a more typical LB role when he's in.

Replace Tanev with Dano and those lines are ok. Also give the 4th line more than 5 minutes a game.

He got hurt in TC and didn't come back until a few weeks into the regular season. He may not have had a chance to do kick returns in TC. Lankford got the job almost by default.

I thought that was part of the reason we kept him around when he got hurt in training camp. If Coates is back there Thorpe can be as well for kickoffs. And contribute on offence, unlike Lankford.

I thought he was one of the best parts of Trainwreck. Maybe not a leading man yet but certainly fun to watch.

Absolutely. If you're not going to challenge them deep (which they didn't) then put a guy like Thorpe in who has proven on multiple occasions he can get those tough short yards for you. Sask was giving that away all game. Thorpe needs to be in next game and take out Lankford. He's basically useless as a receiver and aside from that one return in the Argo game he's been meh at best for kickoff returns. Johnson needs to come back as well. Not a coincidence our pressure up the middle has been lacking since he's been taken out. Unless he's actually hurt of course. If not bring him back and sit either Jeffcoat or Okpalaugo. And is there a better option than Knox? I saw someone (JBR?) float the idea of moving Loffler to WIL. Won't happen but something needs to be done. Hello NFL cuts?

Did you not read my last post? I already got your point about it mimicking Kermit. And then I moved on to how I thought the video could have been funnier (thick french accent like Proulx has instead of lame insulting Kermit voice). Doing the video pretending to be Andre Proulx singing Taylor Swift with the altered lyrics might have worked as comedy. Kermit voice certainly didn't.

Never thought of it from that angle. If that's what they were going for it's completely ridiculous. Just lay on a huge, stereotypical Quebecois accent (a slight exaggeration of Andre Proulx's normal voice ) and it would be so much better. And if it's as you say using the Frog/French connection it's rather insulting to boot. Although an exaggerated French accent might not be much better lol.

Sounds like Kermit the Frog. Nice try but not a fan of the execution. Needs a lot of work on the french accent.

Smart gamesmanship. Easier to draw a penalty. Nicely done if you can get away with it. As you say though if it keeps happening then a penalty or a trip to the sidelines for "helmet repair" would be in order. But it's hard to argue any of our hands to face penalties. We looked pretty guilty every time.
