I was literally screaming at the TV after that play. Is the rule for Illegal Contact so lame that all a receiver has to do is run into a defender standing on his section of field and he draws the penalty (The Calgary gameplan according to Chris Jones )? Shouldn't the defender have a right to his space, as long as he doesn't actively impede the receiver or just happen to step into the receiver's path "accidently"?

Pirate metal! Sure it's only these guys and maybe two other bands but fun nonetheless.

That Burke-led team in 2013 was the only time I've ever seriously questioned my desire to continue being a season ticket holder. Driving the several hours and ducking out of work early (losing $$$ each time I did) to watch that team play was excruciating. O'Shea isn't perfect but his team fights hard every game and they win more than they lose (these days). Good enough to keep my interest up and hold onto my season tickets.

True. But it was said in "Heart of Glory" it was the first time outsiders were witness to it. One can assume the Klingons had been doing it for a while at that point. Can't recall offhand if "Enterprise" ever mentioned it. Just saying it's nice that the writers seem to be fans of and willing to reference previous Treks. Unlike J.J Abrams who seemed more intent on making a hybrid Star Trek/Star Wars movie series. And then he got his wish and made a Star Wars film. (not that there's anything wrong with that)

If nothing else the production value for Discovery looks top notch. The Klingons look is very impressive but as a bit of a purist I much prefer the TNG/DS9/Voy look. Maybe it will grow on me. Nice that they did the Klingon death ritual in the clip. Some of the writers know their canon.

Not so good for the family of the guy Hernandez killed. This could mess up their civil suit against Hernandez. Hard to collect from the estate of a guy who is no longer considered guilty of killing their brother/son/father/etc.

Foote or Valimaki would be nice. A lot of mock drafts have us taking Suzuki which would be alright but I'd say D depth is more important if there isn't a clear consensus on who to take at #13.

To be fair, what would you have him do right now in this particular situation? This will be our 10(?) battle with the U.S over softwood lumber so it's nothing new. It will hurt us like it always does but maybe it's about time we got on with it in regards to NAFTA. Realistically you're probably right, Roslovic will play in Columbus. Maybe Connor too. I just have no faith in Maurice giving the kids significant playing time especially now that we're in golf mode in a week's time.

So Roslovic and Connor will travel with the team but not play, according to Maurice via twitter. Then what's the point? An NHL paycheque and a nice view from the pressbox? I already know what Tanev and Thorburn bring to the team. I'd really like to see what a Connor/Roslovic/Dano (or Petan) line can do even if it was only for 3 games. Guess I'll have to wait until next season. But I can't say I'm surprised. The Thorburn farewell tour continues...

True enough. Looking at a bunch of mock drafts no one seems able to agree on the order of who gets drafted in the top 15. I guess it will depend on where the Jets pick and which players they are targeting. The Jets draft board could be very different than what the bloggers or analysts have on theirs.
