Do we have to be surprised by this, to be upset about this?  The market is telling us that 2 FA's that WE COVETED don't view Winnipeg as anything more than a last resort. 
 
It's not the individual QB's that I'm upset we lost on.  It's the increasing likelihood that our greatest fear is coming true... that no one of any value wants to play here.

I'm not freaking out about missing on Burris. I'm freaking out because it's obvious that we are not in any way, shape or form a desirable destination for players who have a choice. And that's a problem.

I can tell you what will be discussed. That pro sports is results oriented & we're not getting the results. That Walters can't sign players. That we are run by inexperienced people at nearly every  management & coaching position. That we didn't hire people with enough connections. That we only hire friends. That while the name change, everything still stays the same. It will not be good. That's what will be talked about if Walters & Miller don't sign  Hank. It won't be complimentary. 
Before anyone starts coming after me, I'm not saying that's how I feel. I'm saying that is what I think is going to happen if we keep losing out on players...

Henry Burris is going to decide where he'll play next year by the end of the day today. It's either Winnipeg or Ottawa, so in all reality, it's Winnipeg. He's already been told he's being released, just paperwork needs to get sent to the league to make it official. So much for no tampering in the CFL, Winnipeg and Ottawa have already both talked to him? What a shock.
 
The source is the cheerleader that he hits on every time he comes to Winnipeg.

Try sitting in the stands for a full season of games where the team is out of it after 1 quarter. This team needs to get competitive in a hurry. There was 0 entertainment value in those games last year. A total chore to go to.

Winnipeg loves 2 things... The bombers and to ***** and moan... Most often about the bombers..

Not praise. The media here in Calgary snickers & are for the most part disbelievers at all the hirings. They don't believe they can turn the team around. I think the rest of the league falls into that category because of the youth & inexperience. The Stamps fanbase on both fan sites feel sorry for Bomber fans. Most think we are great fans that deserve a lot better. 

Don't disagree with you about this point.  I'd contend that Dressler is a game changing receiver though.  Kind of guy that can draw the opposition's best corner week after week, and generate elite level WR performance; while opening up the field for the other WR's. 
 
That's something I'd pay for.

Tom Higgins as GM & HC. He has contacts in both the NCAA, CIS &  NFL. Knows coaches outside those organizations as well. Is used to dealing with CFL agents. Can negotiate contracts. Is experienced in rebuilding teams & making them championship competitive. Is a Grey Cup championship coach. More importantly,he has done both roles simultaneously in the past so he is my choice.

Stewart even said "if it was for Buck so be it" or something like that. The players know the cheers were somewhat meant as a shot to the team.
If it was anyone but buck I have no doubt the fans would not have given a standing ovation. So I believe it was sincere. But I also think it was partially motivated by disgust with the bombers.I guarantee if Buck had tossed a TD the fans would still have cheered.
But that only happens because it's buck.
The players should stop throwing around words like disappointing and disgust when talking about the fans because the real shocking thing is how there are still fans at all.

anyone who thought the crowd was cheering.for.bc.buck (fans and players alike) are complete morons... they were cheering for warrior buck, community buck,.a.guy that fought and bled for us..
glad they cheered for him, guy deserved it..

I was at the game and to me it felt like when everyone was standing and cheering when Buck came in, that is was for Buck and not to **** on the team.  I don't see why people would actually stand and cheer if it wasn't for Buck. Previous to that when people where chanting "we want Buck", that may have been the "F-U" to the team.
 
Bob Irving interviewed 2 players last night and asked them about the indecent.
 
Terence Edwards was upset with the fans.
Bryant Turner thought it was a nice tribute to Buck. (I think it was Bryant Turner. It was someone on defence.)
 
So I don't believe that everyone in the locker room was upset by it and I do believe there were some who were cheering for buck and not against the Bombers when he got that standing ovation.
 
That's just my take on it.

I actually like the jersey to be flowing around the midsection area.  It makes for a much grander effect when I twirl upon entering a room.

And they have the balls to say that they listened to the fans when designing the new jerseys... Reebok can go **** themselves. Give us the royal blues permanently.

He's gone from supporting and endorsing all these players to completely throwing them under the bus in a desperate hail mary play to save his own job and it's disgusting. You want to save your job Tim? Then you'd better start getting these players ready to play the game. The players may suck, but the coaches are doing just as poor a job. We see bad teams at least play competitively more than this team has been under Burke. How many blowouts has he been the head coach for? How many games where there was just absolutely no believe that the team could even fluke their way back into a game? That reflects on the coaching far more than the players IMO. 

Unfortunatley I don't like viewing the remainder of this season as a tryout for Walters because there's really not a hell of a lot he can prove in that limited time. Most of a GMs work is done in the offseasons so if we're giving Walters a tryout you basically need to use next year as well. I would be completely fine keeping him around as AGM and letting him get some more experience before giving him the role but I have no tolerance for another cheap cost saving experiment from the Bombers. Identify who the absolute best candidate out there is and do what it takes to hire them.
