  1. Sorry it just threw me. In one post the guy said his name wasn't "Rich" and then you used it directly to toast him.
  2. ? Is this a joke in poor taste or a typo?
  3. Yeah again you are assuming this **** happened. Which if you just critically examine the information we have, we can say likely didn't. She didn't just run to her facebook, she posted on a radio station facebook page looking for free tickets.
  4. Yes and that's what this woman has done. She's drug our team, our city, and frankly our province through the mud for personal gain. It's revolting.
  5. So, lets review shall we? Mom takes her child to a Bomber game. After the big win 2 female Bomber fans pour beer all over her son for wearing a green jacket. No cell phone pics taken by anyone, including the mom, or video. No surveillance video exists showing this. Zip. She is then told explicitly that the reason they did it is because her kid is wearing a green jacket. Ok, so, decision time. Do I leave my child in a beer soaked, stinky, smelly, abuse magnet and drag him through more abuse? Or take it off him for his own well being and comfort, and take away a target. Nope. Let's keep it on. Then, and again, with no one coming forward as a witness, she describes further fan ridicule and abuse. People harass her child, and they harass her now too for being fat. No cell phone videos or pictures of this incredible public torment, no witnesses. Then, Rider fans come in on their white horse and hug the child. These people have also chosen to stay silent. No pictures of this poignant scene, no video, no witnesses. Like it never happened. She then proceeds, STILL with her child in a BEER SOAKED abuse magnet, STILL leaving it on, and then gets harassed by volunteers helping with traffic. Again, no witnesses, no one intervening, nothing. She then gets home and posts this on a local radio station facebook angling for free tickets, to go right back into the hotbed of abuse from whence she came. If you believe this, hey, email me your credit card numbers and I'll tell you if they're lucky. (JK dont actually do that).
  6. I'll consider that vindication for Bomber fans.
  7. I'm not blaming them. I don't believe them. Very different.
  8. There's literally zero evidence this happened. Not a single cell phone pic, video, eye witness, nothing. Zilch. all we have is someone who has told a pretty fantastic story that brings into question her own judgement (again, leaving a beer soaked abuse magnet on her child) riddled with tall tales of abuse from several groups of fans and even volunteers. Incredible stuff. Then, instead of going to the team directly or authorities, nope, puts her story on a radio station facebook like a contest entry to get tickets to another game. Wait what? You suffer this bizare, nearly "the purge" style public abuse and you want to go right back? Right. Right.
  9. This is more believable and a sad incident. No kid should face verbal abuse. That being said I have no idea why you'd run to the media. I feel like these two incidents are probably a lot closer than the Mothers "story".
  10. lol, what? do you imagine me on vacation in Nova Scotia with a blackboard and a bunch of photographs joined by string? I simply put her story, according to her, in point form. No detective work needed... if you read the article, that's the story. Her story is ludicrous and doesn't pass the smell test. In my line of work I've come to have a very healthy skepticism for the incredible. Her story is utter nonsense. By the way i haven't even addressed the mental illness thing yet. You know whats worse for a child with mental illness, than losing their jacket? Having complete strangers yell at them and torment them. As I've stated before I have no doubt there was comments. I dont think this was conjured from pure thin air. But people embellish and lie on a daily basis. I don't know how you can think that's special.
  11. According to the Mom, this jacket would have been sopping wet from two people both pouring beer on it. That's why the jacket comes off. It's a beer soaked abuse magnet, according to the Mom. But nope, she's going to drag her 9 year old, in a smelly, beer soaked jacket that's the cause of all this abuse, and just run this gauntlet of abuse. This type of abuse that almost never occurs in my experience and everyone else here, all in a span of 30 minutes. All these insane incidents of torment and cruelty, and callousness. How can people be so naive?
  12. I do have a child. And a very protective Mother as my Wife. I ran this story by her without telling her about my doubts, and, made no attempt to highlight beer was all over the child. She stopped me near the end and asked "why didnt this person take the jacket off? what is her problem?". And she has no idea about sports and rivalries like I do. Sorry. This story makes zero sense.
  13. Let me unpack this further, and why I have a very high suspicion of this event: I have a tough time with the story. Reading it further, it's basically this: -Mom and son, son dressed in a blue bomber shirt with a green jacket, go to game -After game 2 drunk women yell at the son, and declare, according to mom 'well he has a green shirt on', after pouring beer on him -Mother decides to leave son her in sopping wet jacket that is the cause of verbal assault, and proceeds to run through a gauntlet of abuse. all because of the green jacket, now sopping with beer -She doesn't take the jacket off to keep her son free of abuse and stinky, sticky beer all over it. nope. keeps it on -A bizarre gauntlet of abuse occurs, where she undergoes more verbal abuse in 30 minutes than i've ever witnessed in going to football games for 30 years. all in this horrendous trip home from the stadium -Again, all due to a green jacket she was told at the start was the reason for the abuse. That is sopping wet in sticky, smelly beer. on a child. It just doesn't pass the smell test.
  14. Zero witnesses and a completely absurd story. I have a tough time believing it went past anything other than a few drunks yelling at her kid like an idiot. I'm trying to envision myself at the game and this is my kid. Ok, the idiot fans are now pouring beer on my kid and verbally assaulting us. Take off the green jacket thats now presumably soaked anyways, right? No. We are to believe she kept her son in a sopping wet green coloured jacket to continue receiving verbal torment. According to her. I call BS. Occam's razor suggests this is a greedy fan looking for free crap after a couple people yelled at her and her son.
  15. Calgary scored 19 points against the Riders, I guess we should predict the demise of Mitchell and the Stamps too, hey? Garbage. More like it.
  16. I think this is a pretty decent list. I think most people would have Willy some where around 11-15. I think the fact Toronto overpaid in a time of desperation doesn't mean Willy has a higher value.
  17. Where would you rank Willy as a QB in the CFL? All QB's of all teams? Top 10? Top 15?
  18. yah, based on a very full body of work, 2.25 seasons as a starter. his resume is very poor. bazinga?
  19. Lol. I guess we can only judge him if he was a starter for Calgary amirite?
  20. Oh good. A qb controversy for some reason.
  21. The debate will be finally solved. Willy will be given a chance to start in Toronto and I predict mediocre results.
  22. And this is th flaw in your argument. He is doing things better, and differently. He's engineering scoring drives when we need them. He's not turning the ball over. And he's making faster reads which means teams can't just blitz over and over again without consequences. You're just wrong.
