I am confident that the bombers still have the money but it was more public posturing for the negotiations that are about to take place. If we had money for the possibility of bringing Westerman back. We should still have a large portion of that avaialbe to sign Henoc if interested. Why show your hand by saying we have the SMS space for a contract like his because that takes any ability to negotiate out of your hands.

For receivers I would love to go after:
Davaris Daneils. Has good size, hands and some speed.
Luke Tasker: he does not drop anything and is basically an upgraded Denmark.
Devier Posey: Looked good as a second option to SJ and I think is ready for the breakout year. Size, SPEED to burn.
AND my soft spot pick is bring back
Corey Watson as a second/third Nat WR, special teams player and one of the best blocking tight ends there is.

It may have changed but I know in the 90's if your school did not have a football team(or whichever sport you want to play) you could go play for the closest school with a team. I know this because Matt Sheridan went to Silver Heights and played for Sturgeon Creek. I also went to John Taylor and was going to play for Sturgeon but started playing basketball instead.

You say all of this but how do you know that the play was not changed at the line due to Defensive alignment. As you said and it was obvious that the rookies cause mistakes, these rookie WR on multiple occasions did not run to the correct depth on routes and the pass was either off target or short of the first down.

    As for changes next year
New MLB - Hurl is not the answer New DC - I am sick of the bend but don't break, we had it in the early 2000's, early 2010's and now. And guess what we did not win a grey cup New WR - We need a speed guy that will break the field open. Re-sign Dressler and Adams, I want to see what Givens can bring after a training camp and I think Coates and Wolitarsky will be good for NA content Not a change but sign all the Oline Backup DB/SAM LB - I want someone who will be a good SAM backup and to fill in for Moe while he rehabs Back-up QB's

One of those deepballs he had the right coverage called, cover 3 would have had that perfectly but the DB bit on the shallow route and missed Bowman running the deep route.

The 3 biggest points in this game are:

Gables' touchdown where he dragged 9 different Bombers into the endzone. Hurl got beat bad and then the us going for the strip and holding him up bit us in the ass cause they got the push. The fake punt: everyone complained the first year that MOS was a coach that was coaching to not lose games and not win games. This was a call made to win a game. If they were successful this would have been a different story The multiple 3rd and 2's that lead to punts and field goals instead of first downs and touchdowns. This was a game were kicking a bunch of FG's was not going to cut it

You are starting to sound like a rambling idiot. Did you read what you typed before you hit send. In that case the player made the mistake not Hall. How about you admit your wrong on that one. Yes Hall should be replaced but at the same time see there was good calls he made.

For those of you talking about how we should not have released Thorpe, I present the curious case of Nic Grigsby. A player of similar talent that asked for his release. The Bombers obliged, and Grigsby bounced around the league a bit, before finally being released in 2016 by the Redblacks. Asking to be released is the regular job equivalent of handing in your two weeks notice, then having your boss say you can't quit, but you still have to show up to get paid.
The bottom line is football is a team sport, if you hang on to players that don't want to be there, they won't put in the work, and they'll just cause dissent among the ranks. No doubt Thorpe was talented, but if he doesn't want to be part of the team or system - get rid of him.
