Gave up a shorthanded goal... and again only 1 goal scored tonight so far.

The Jets defensive system is a mess. There is an over reliance on Helle in general. Helle's poor play this year has showcased that the Jets are in need of better defensive play in general. As great additions as Schmidt and Dillon are, they cannot fix a broken system. The whole team offence philosophy needs to shift as well. The Jets cannot score with perfect shots anymore and, aside from Dubois and Lowry, players are afraid to crash the net and get the greasy goals. Coach Lowry can't really change much given he's got Maurice's old systems ingrained into a bunch of the players. I hate to say it but this is smelling like a rebuild. If by some miracle we make the playoffs, we likely lose in the first round.

There's no screw over. It was a clean goal. Jets can't catch a break but we need to be scoring more than 1 goal a game. This team just doesn't have it. Sellers come deadline day

I don't think Stastny or Copp are going to be here next season. Wheeler's boat anchor contract kicks in next year and we're at the cap. The youngins show promise, we just need a coach who can put these pieces together. I like Coach Lowry but he's not NHL caliber head coach. When we eventually miss the playoffs, the team will be in a rebuild next year. i don't think trading 55 is the right call.. find a coach that can whip his @$$ into shape. Wheeler needs to get off the top line , and noone is going to take his contract from us.

I agree lack of scoring is a problem, but look no further than the Pittsburgh game where his bone-headed decision led to the tying goal. He hasn't looked sharp this year. He's definitely struggling.
