Arnold_Palmer got a reaction from Atomic in Medlock the Mising Link
I think it also takes a lot of pressure off the offense knowing that anything within 50 yards are essentially an automatic 3 points. Not as many throws into double coverage trying to generate points.

Arnold_Palmer reacted to Nash00 in Miller starting contract extension talks with Walters O'Shea
I don't see how blowing up the past three years and starting all over again with a new staff will accomplish anything. For one, there are no real attractive candidates out there to replace him except for retreads (Higgins, Chamblin). It doesn't make sense to me to promote either of LaPolice or Hall and if you don't extend O'Shea you also lose his abilities as a ST coach and no one can argue the success we have had in that area since he took over from Pat Tracey.
Any momentum this team would have from getting into the playoffs would be erased and once again we would start at the bottom looking up at the rest of the West. Everyone would ***** and moan about how we have a journeyman QB getting on in years and spent too much money on an aging vet WR past his prime. Next thing you know it's another goddamn rebuild and who knows how long until we climb out of that hole.
Walters and O'Shea have done a terrific job of restoring this roster to one that can win every week. Canadian and import depth is at the best state we have seen in years. Our o-line is improving every week and when we suffer injuries the next man up comes in and performs to the point that we wonder when/if the injured player gets back in because he has to earn it back.
But yeah if we lose a playoff game let's torch the **** thing.

Arnold_Palmer got a reaction from The Classic in Can we beat calgary?
No doubt. i don't think anyone wants to play Winnipeg, but gotta give credit to Calgary. They're a damn good football team.

Calgary is in a league of their own this season. Clear cut grey cup favourites. But the road will be through Calgary to make it to the grey cup so might as well show that they can beat them this week.

Arnold_Palmer got a reaction from Atomic in Toronto @ Winnipeg Depth Chart
We CANT possibly win seven in a row can we
I'll be there tomorrow for the first time all season. Work has been hectic, but hopefully i'll get to see the Bomber Defense beat the snot out of Dan Lefevour.

Arnold_Palmer got a reaction from Brandon in Bombers Trade Willy for DB TJ Heath, Acquire Kevin Glenn
Kevin Glenn is STILL in this league because he has the quickest release in the CFL. He avoids a lot of contact.

Arnold_Palmer reacted to Fan Boy in Around The League Regular Season Discussion
You mean so he can retire.

Arnold_Palmer reacted to LimJahey in Nichols vs Glenn
Oh i totally agree, I don't think anybody has ever said Nichols is a great quarterback but we have seen time and time again a quarterback that makes the right decisions is so much more valuable than a guy who has a cannon.

sigh* the riders forum. One poster seems to think they'll run the table and finish 9-9. Another poster thinks they'll beat us by two touchdowns in Winnipeg. 6 wins since September 2014 and still no humility.

Glad to see Kaliff isn't playing. Still hope they turf that douchebag.

Arnold_Palmer got a reaction from Dragon37 in Making the league look bad: item #2837
It's funny because the league has spoon fed the Riders as "best fans", "Canada's team", etc and they certainly have a lot of good passionate fans. No one will deny that. They've also benefitted from being one of the better teams in the league for the past 15 years. It's funny how sensitive the fan base has become, instead of looking in the mirror and taking blame for the way the team is ran they use every excuse in the book. No other CFL fanbase but the riders buy that " us against the world" bull crap. We've had plenty of down right awful teams over the years, and some questionable calls against us but at the end of the day our fan base has always been able to look in the mirror and take responsibility for where we're at as a football team.

You guys are both wrong.
Noeller- You're allowed to live in another city, and still tolerate another football team. Even if its the Stamps (puke) that doesn't make you any less of a fan.
Iso- Not knowing who the starting QB from 1942 ALSO doesn't make you less of a fan
Grow up guys. I thought only Rider fans had this superiority "super fan" attutide.

Why would they be? The Riders are the envy of the entire football league, led by the great Coach Jones!
