I’m not sure if I like that rule. Sure I look continuity, but we’re going to see less young guys get a shot because of the advantage a team gets to stick with the vet that’s been on the same club for the last 3 plus years.

Come on Mike it’s not like he’s 38 he just turned 30 in October, more importantly doesn’t have a lot of mileage on his body, he’s a good football player had 17 sacks last year and was constantly doubles teamed. Would have taken him over Jeffcoat at this stage in their careers absolutely.

Bighill was just fine once Alexander came back from injury. He was playing deeper and in coverage a lot more when Alexander was out and I think it messed up his pursuit angles. He was very good down the stretch, vintage Bighill once he was able to play where he normally plays.

Elks in my opinion at the very least leap frog over the rough riders. I hate to say it but Jones brought in some good players that showcased their talent in the last half of the season. I guess ultimately it will depend on their QB play whether or not they can become real contenders but I have them out of the basement in the west so far.

Let’s hope rider management feels like Craig Dickenson is in the upper echelon or coaching as well. A three year extension is in order!

I smell a last place finish, like some of the players Jones brought in by the end of the season it’s safe to say Saskatchewan will be in the bottom of the basement unless things change drastically.

Rose was just fine, he was hurt early in the season but was quite good down the stretch. Sure he gets beat deep occasionally but he’s an agressive DB it’s going to happen, especially when you’re covering the best receivers. As soon as Alexander was back our secondary was just different.

I find it so absurd in a 9 team league we can’t play a home and away against every team. It still gives us the chance to play a third game against two rivals. Ridiculous.

I appreciate the effort put into this but it’s far too early to make these kind of assessments. I’d imagine once free agency hits, less then a third of these guys will still be free agents.

The fact that Schoen isn’t at any NFL workouts baffles me. Any scout doesn’t even have to watch him play just look at the numbers, and that alone should be enough, but in that case Walters should be trying to get him on a huge deal, preferably 3 years would be great!

You’re correct X2 but yes that was the big play that turned the momentum of the game. We had no business losing that game.

Pretty sure that was the year we were putting a beating on B.C. in the playoff game until momentum switched when Loffler decimated Burnham and B.C. went on a run and we decided to kick a long field goal instead of go for it on 3rd and 5! Fun year, disappointing result.

He had a good career. Always had a lot of respect for his game and wanted him as a Bomber for many years.

Something to consider besides having to live in Saskatchewan, is O’Day, and Dickenson are in their last year and it’s a good possibility that they won’t be back next year. Any OC has to think that if it doesn’t work out for them, the next regime is going to likely clean house. Just some food for thought.

Maybe Buck doesn’t want to be a head coach. He’s a former player who’s a good X’s and O’s guy. Not every Great coordinator wants or becomes a great head coach. I could be wrong but sometimes if you’re in a good situation why leave it? Lapo proves the grass isn’t always greener.

You rarely see great teams being able to keep this many players, coaches and staff. I think that goes to show how special and deep these ties to the organization must be.

Look how beat up our secondary and our line backing core was. At times he was playing back deeper then usual, I think it messed with his pursuit angles, but as soon as we started getting healthy Bighill was back playing at his exceptional level. This is so important to keep the core together not only for their play but what they bring in the locker room and community.
