  1. I’m kind of excited about guys like Sterns and Logan. I thought Logan was the Stamps most electrifying player, and Sterns put up good numbers when he was in the line up. We had a washed up Lucky trying to play that role last season. Kind of excited what we can do with those two guys. It’s going to be a bigger opportunity for touches after losing Lawler so someone has the chance to step up.
  2. Yeah I like Dukes, I think he has potential. He’s only 26 years old, at the start of the season some people were considering him maybe the next great young QB, I thought in his first career start in 2023 against us he was great. This season was a little more of a mixed bag but really his numbers were not much different then Chad Kelly’s, at the very least he’s a mobile QB who you can trust to put a drive together if you need him, at best I think he can be a potential starter in the league.
  3. Well here’s hoping our new OC using Streveler as a QB instead of as a glorified RB. Our O actually got better once Streveler got injured and it was to no fault of his own, defenses truly just knew actually what was coming every single time the ball was in Strevelers hand.
  4. Yeah he’s not coming back after the Bombers picked up three free agent receivers this off season lol
  5. More bush league stuff from the CFL
  6. Yeah it might look slightly bad now because we’re used to success but remember the days when our best Canadian receiver was guys like Jamie Stoddard? Remember when we had American running backs like Nic Grigsby, and quarterbacks like Max Hall? Have premium Canadian players and a premium quarterback take up salary, are all three in a vacuum worth what they make? Well that’s debatable but to have a 1000 yard Canadian receiver, the most outstanding player in the league and Canadian at running back, and Zach who’s been one of the best for a long time I think it’s easy to remember where we came from.
  7. Pretty good player. Now you got Schoen, Demski, Mitchell, White Jr, Clercuis, and maybe Wilson at some point and hope that someone from camp impresses and it’s a pretty solid receiving core. There’s going to be lots of opportunity for someone to step up and be that second target for Zach.
  8. Yeah it’s definitely not better unless you think another year for some of the young players and the continuity is a plus rather than subtraction. But also we all know Dobson’s award was a farce. Not deserved at all but still a hole that needs to be filled.
  9. No CC I believe he was head coach from late 90’s to about 2008 they won a bunch of championships so he went to go coach high school ball for some new start up programs before retiring from coaching.
  10. My pops was the head coach for the mustangs midget team for many years!
  11. Im willing to give it a chance. There’s obviously going to be a lot of influence from Jarious. I like the way Jarious ran the offense last year and between him and Hogan I think you’ll see the run game be a focal point.
  12. Is Steven Dunbar Jr still available? 1100 yards last year, big target at 6’3 that would be a sneaky good add if he’s still around.
  13. Yeah wasn’t Dobson somehow named an all star? I thought he was our weakest link by far, more in the Kolo category rather than an actual all star. Really probably boarderline starter in my opinion. Oh well.
  14. 300 k for Lawler, and Dobson reportedly wants to be one the highest paid guard in the league.. honestly glad it wasn’t us.
  15. We did. We paid Lawler almost 300 k on his last contract and quite frankly he isn’t worth even close to it.
  16. Not that surprised. I kind of saw the writing on the wall with the signing of Mitchell and then signing Schoen Even at a pay cut we’re spending a lot of money on our receiving core. We’ll probably bring in a second tier reciever and hope we can bring in the next Schoen or Wilson In training camp.
  17. Elks say we don’t need no stinking scouts. There’s CFL ready players available in free agency.
  18. Yep Loften struggled early on but by the end of the season I thought he was pretty excellent. Would have been a big hole to fill.
  19. They like their washed up Calgary Stampeders.
  20. Yeah our lack of an explosive returner and poor punting actually cost us close games early in the season. No doubt we would have had at minimum two or three extra wins if we had Grant on our roster.
  21. Still wouldn’t be surprised if we bring in an established DT as well. I’m hoping this will be the return of running a rotation in the D Line which made us so dominant in our first two grey cup runs.
  22. Nice! One of those under the radar moves.
  23. They’ve done a fine job of retaining. Chungh left 6 years ago to go home and became the highest paid guard in the league, Couture was a pretty good Center who got injured and lost his job, Richardson was a huge loss but with his injury issues he never really played much after leaving winnipeg, Sayles was a rotation player for us before taking a big contract in Hamilton. Admittedly he ended up being a good football player, Lawler took the money but came back, and ill give you Grant, that one stings but in the end of the day you’re not going to be able to keep everybody in the one year contract era, especially when you’ve had five grey cup appearances in a row. People want to get theirs, but I think Walters has done a good job mostly of retaining who he can.
  24. Yeah more money allocated in a position of need. Ford is great but we have an outstanding secondary.
