  1. I don’t think this should be a surprise. If you lock up any young All star player, prior to free agency you already know they’re going to be getting compensated by choosing not to make it to free agency.
  2. I remember when Holm was one of Booch’s original whipping boys.
  3. Great move! We’ve brought back all the right guys this off season.
  4. Kramdi is a really good player lol he’s a very smart football player and is always in good position. The one downside is he’s just average athletically but he can hold his own in coverage and the run based on his football IQ alone. Obviously they pay him like he’s an elite player but hes more of a jack of all trades, master of none in my opinion. But by all reports he’s become the leader of the defense and he’s another quality Canadian player so I understand to an extent, if you’re going to pay a player the dollars they’re giving out at a guy in his position you really need to have an elite attribute in my opinion.
  5. 600k for Zach is too much. He’s had a good career and earned his fair share. I mean you only take what is offered but I would have liked to see us have more flexible for salary at the quarterback position. We’re still paying him like he’s 2022 Zach and not 2026. Not the end of the world but I would have liked to see a deal similar to what Harris is making.
  6. Fine with it. I’m not sure if we’re ever going to expect him to be a starter at this point but as a depth player on the o-line I’m perfectly fine with having him back. Can’t ever have too many capable Canadian OL on the roster.
  7. 3 years. 290 k this upcoming year. Yeah it’s a lot but for one of the very best players in the league in the prime of his career and a home town hero to boot. It’s a no brainer, especially with the rising cap. I would take Brady at 290 over Keon Hatchers at 330k any day of the week.
  8. Love it! I love that Wilson and Lawson are the first two guys signed. I think it means we’re prioritizing the youth. There was so many times I saw Lawson double and tripled teamed and he still got to the quarterback. He’s a beast and will only look even better next once we get some help beside him.
  9. Nice to hear about Pokey! One of our young talented game breakers. This was a must. Really happy with the schedule as well. Not sure why it was so difficult to put out a balanced schedule, but I’ll give the credit when it’s due.
  10. Nice signing! Great pedigree. Good college numbers, started a game in the NFL and got a ring with the Rams, and the UFL MVP! Now let’s sign Taylor Egersma and I feel good about our quarterback room.
  11. Saskatchewan prioritized a strong o-line, a deep D-line that gets pressure and a strong bruising running game that wears you down. Sound familiar?
  12. Leading receiver on a 10-3 Oklahoma team. Nearly 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games played. Could do a lot worse in terms of pedigree.
  13. I’ve said it for awhile. If Davis Alexander is healthy, Montreal is the best team in the league. We would have had a chance against Hamilton today if we found a way to pull that one out.
  14. I was looking at the 2021 CFL all stars. The Bombers dominated the west with 15 (4 this year for comparison) and the thing that is really crazy is we had 6 out of the 9 available spots on the O-Line and D-Line, and not a single player this year in either of those positions btw, it all starts with the complete overhaul in the trenches, to me there’s not a single starter that should feel 100 percent safe on both sides of the line except in my opinion Cam Lawson.
  15. I think part of it has to do with O’Shea and the old boys club. Look at the few free agents we did sign in Jones and Mitchell. Both couldn’t sniff the field. Think teams entering free agency want to come here? Who knows if they will even get a chance to see the field. When it comes to young talent entering the league would they rather go to a place like Winnipeg, or a place like BC, Montreal, Toronto, etc where as long as you have talent you have a chance to make the team and are put in a position to show case talent. I think we’re suffering a lot because of O’sheas stubbornness with his roster management.
  16. Pressure in Alexander’s face. You love to see it.
  17. So I’m on the side line Saturday with the other season ticket holders bringing out the Canadian flag for O Canada. I’m minding my business, The head coach is like 200 yards away, but this man has EARS so big they probably pick up satellite radio. My girlfriend squints and goes, “Why does he look so angry? He looks like an off-brand Gargamel.” I panic. I’m like, “SHUT UP, HE CAN HEAR US.” She laughs, until he TURNS. Not walks, not jogs. TURNS.. Next thing I know, this man is SPRINTING toward me like I just bad-mouthed his favorite protein powder. Before I can react, this dude snatches my toque straight off my head like it was a turnover he could challenge. I’m stunned. My scalp is cold. My girlfriend is praying. The coach is standing there wearing my toque with a stupid grin on his face. Then security pulls up like “Sir, is there a problem?” And this coach, this MASTER MANIPULATOR, instantly transforms like he just activated cutscene mode and goes: “Problem? No, no, this is my best friend, my BROTHER, my day-one from preschool. Look, I’m just borrowing his toque because it’s cold. Right, champ?” I’m still processing the ear-to-sprint timeline, so all I manage to say is: “Yes” Security nods and leaves. Coach pats my shoulder like I just got drafted to his emotional support roster and walks away in my toque, humming like a Disney villain who just got the magic amulet.
  18. Not too stick up for Zach but I saw a reply of the interception. There’s only two receivers running routes, like yeah Zach needs to eat it but he’s not getting any favours by the play design or the offensive coordinator.
  19. Our punter might be the star of the game.
  20. Bad O line, terrible schemes from his OC, and average at very best receiving core, ZC is washed but he’s not getting any help.
  21. Looks like Revis led with the helmet..
  22. Agreed. That was actually a great throw from Zach.
  23. Seems to be a trend with Zach. Has an outstanding game where he takes what the defense gives him and mixes in a few deep balls, followed up by play where he just can’t help himself but chuck it deep, it’s frustrating, as a vet he needs to know better.
  24. Hope we don’t have to hear about good punting today! Need the O to be better next drive.
