  1. Nice now let’s get him some help on the DL
  2. Elks released Dillion Mitchell. I thought he was going to be a super star when he came in the league half way through the 2022 season but he never really ended up being that guy. I wonder if a team takes a chance on him. He’s only 27.
  3. Awesome! I like this move a lot.
  4. Meh 45 thousand more then Streveler made last year, and I’d argue he isn’t as valuable as Streveler was to Winnipeg.
  5. I know it stings but honestly bringing in good young players on rookie deals is what gives teams flexibility with the cap. I’d rather find the next pokey then over pay for a vet.
  6. Okay well situation is a little different first off there’s a little difference then losing three in a row and never winning the big game then there is to winning two and then losing three. Obviously we know things aren’t good enough, but when Buffalo fired Polian they got back next year (and lost again) and then went 6-10 the next season, we’re mostly a wild card team for the next couple of seasons and then went 16 years without making the playoffs, meanwhile Polian then goes to Indy and goes to two more superbowls, winning one, and going into to the Indianapolis Colts ring of fame. Really the moral of the story is the grass isn’t always greener, as much as this team has to be better next year using that example actually shows making those kind of decisions can cripple a franchise if done incorrectly.
  7. Toronto really does it best when it comes to moving on from players. They trust their scouting and coaching that they can bring in the next great player.
  8. Agreed. Plus he was much better once he came back from injury.
  9. Exactly the same people would complaining about bringing back vets and status quo. I love this. Not to say some of our guys won’t be back but gotta take a long hard look at some of these players and hopefully be more active in FA
  10. Yeah he has room to improve but 600 yards and 10 yards per catch for someone getting close to Demski money is crazy to me. He has 900 yards in three seasons and I know part of it has to do with his injury problems during his first two years but that’s also some room for concern.
  11. Missed opportunities for sure. We should be atleast 4-1 in the grey cup in those years.
  12. Interesting because CF has voiced that he still wants to be a starting QB, I wonder how Tre Ford feels when he was getting the lip service that he was going to be the franchise QB. Obviously something has to give here.
  13. I’m ok with them taking time to decide who they want back. It hopefully shows no more status quo. There’s a long list of vets I’d be happy to move on from, a few that I’d like back but this team desperately needs some new blood.
  14. 3 months for stealing a child’s innocence. Absolutely pathetic!
  15. Sweet! Hope this means the writing is on the wall for Bighill.
  16. Good Luck to Buck! Wasn’t crazy about his play calling, especially this season. Very predictable and not a lot of adjustments. I’m curious to see who Winnipeg looks at to replace him.
  17. One of the few vets we NEEDED back. Good signing.
  18. I’m going to reserve judgment but man if you’re an Elks fan I would find it hard to be excited right now.
  19. CFL the one professional league where you can continue to fail upwards! A ST coordinator fired for poor performance and gets consideration for several head coaching opportunities. Make it make sense!
  20. Farj hands the cup to grey cup MVP Jake Thomas after his 4 sack performance!
  21. Interesting. Their D has not been good since he’s been the Defensive coordinator.
  22. I would have no issues bringing back Lapo if Buck bolts to B.C. listen I’m excited what he would be able to do to get Oliveria the football. And in time in Winnipeg he had Nichols as his QB and Darvin Adam’s as our best receiver. He got the most out of the offense with what he had. I liked how he got people included in the offense. People say he’s conservative but for most of his time here look what he has to work with. His play calling in the 2019 playoffs was a big part of why we ended up winning the cup that year.
  23. Who knows what he really thinks. He’s not going to publically throw his coach under the bus. Whether or not there’s private discussions who knows, if O’Shea said he wasn’t happy with Bucks play calling the same people would be mad he was blaming Buck.
  24. I mean I don’t blame him. He’s a competitor. As a player you always have to have that confidence that you’re going to preform no matter what. It’s up to the coaches to make those decisions
  25. Yeah the kick coverage was pretty good for the bombers almost all year. In all fairness instead of big booming kicks that set up a longer return we has low line drives that were stopped for minimal yards gained after the catch. I guess it’s all relative in the end.
