Does this mean Hogan is officially gone?

    Demski next please.

this is a great sign that change is occurring as Brady made it known that he wanted to win I mean $$$ but he wanted to win so him not even testing free agency like was rumoured, great sign change is happening.

We’ve been spoiled at RB for almost a decade and played really 2 guys Harris and Brady. Deactivate Hogans access card now, forget about last year and let Brady eat.

Tyson Philpot who has never had a 1000 yard season and who has missed 5, 9 and 6 games over the past three seasons got $275,000. Brady was not getting less.

It's a **** load of money and probably way too much for a running back.... however... how do you not do what it takes to bring that guy back? The marketability alone makes him valuable to the club.

Just gotta make the rest of the roster work around that.

Rourke turning me into a fan.
Seeing Vaval highlights of plays that won't happen in two years was a nice touch...

If hogans back / we don’t do a major re tooling that shows serious change, the whole team is cooked

Beside the point. The BO contract is not the huge issue it gets made out to be. Other players are not earning their $$, but he certainly is.

Neither schoen nor streveler had that big of deals last season... whatever cap crunch the Bombers are in is coming from over paying middling Canadians or over the hill veterans.

risky move....and too much weight given to what he accomp0lished 5 yrs ago now...and since...we been regressing
Making playoffs is great....losing for inexcusable and easily preventable reasons is an issue....Osh wont change hu=is ways ....hasnt in 12 yrs.
People say he and Walters have earned the right to fix things....well why did they break it in first place?....and since 2021 have had 4 yrs now to "fix" it and if anything we got worse
Guess we have to wait and see and give benefit of doubt...Maybe Miller re-upped with the caveat you show a change...or you will be canned
The month of January will pretty much dictate the 2026 season with who some the first re-signings are....and if Walter's doesnt get on the podium and state that we are moving on from a whack of guys from the "glory days" half a decade ago now and we moving in a new direction...with that the announcement sooner than later that OC Guy is not coming back
but failing to do that....status quo with coaching and how we run camp/practices and award spots with nary a competition.....the early signing of Thomas types...can see a ZC extension as well....among other dumb moves....well 2026 gonna be more the same
I have little faith in Osh until he show's different...and if he does he will get my praise for it...I never dumped on him pre 2019...but since 2023 and the continuous blunders that lead to where we are....he has done nothing to get much praise as it got worse yr over yr...so not holding my breath
I do expect some guys we dont wanna see leave ....leave tho
thing is....RB is a real poor place to have your marque salary in a Canadian where you can get the same or even better production from an import at 1/3 the cost....and who in the CFL pays anything close to what BO gets here?
We coulda payed Dobson...easily...but we tied whacks of money into guys Osh valued more....who were not worth it....it's how you allocate money...and where....not so much to who....RB....DB.....LB....Boundary receiver.
we have excessive money tied into RB...DB....LB....and it kills us elsewhere...

MOP a year ago...  the whole offense falls completely when he isn't given the touches.   NI and local guy and in his prime.   You pay him top dollars no questions asked.
If you need money maybe save on overspending on import guys who are injury prone (i.e. Schoen/Strev).

O'Shea's track record offers much proof that he is unwilling or incapable of learning from his mistakes.

Im not sure about losing Demski or Olivera, after all how many were convinced that OShea and Walters would be back. I think its more about what happens with the OC position that effects Brady and what we are willing to pay.

We don’t need a superstar coach, we need one who can competently manage the clock, roster, challenges and coaching staff.
Mos, is proven with a historically dominant roster. We are seeing what he can do with a roster that isn’t one of the best ever. And it’s an awful lot like what we saw before the run.
You’re right that proven coaches are a rare valuable commodity in the cfl. Especially ones you can win with currently. I didn’t have much hope for that for next year. Next to none when dinwiddie went to ott. The hope was we could atleast start to build back to being a good team. That has mostly evaporated.
Maybe if we hadn’t seen the same thing for two off seasons in a row. Like I said, i’d be thrilled if i’m wrong and walters/mos really turn over a new leaf. But I sure wouldn’t bet on it. If they do, I’ll happily eat some crow.
Probably be very busy resigning the guys who no one else wants to sign lol. I’m glad walters will be back running our draft. The canadian depth will likely be a bright spot for us next year.

So who do we think Hogan will pick as his assistants? I am betting on Thomas for DC in a dual role.

I think the fact that he is taking the request from Toronto does indicate he is heavily considering it. I wouldn't make that choice if I were him. But I am pretty far removed from his way of thinking.
    I agree, we need a big shake-up.
I still think it's harder to replace the HC than the GM in the CFL today. But pound for pound I believe Walters has done a much better job. His primary problems have been giving in too much to the coaching staff and not being the boss enough.

He’s gone imo. Pinball will offer him the world and likely make him assistant GM. And im actually more than ok with it. Coaches have a shelf life. The team has gotten old and stale. Ive grown beyond tired of his arrogant smugness. Ive pretty much hated his brain dead gameday rosters/player usage and his in-game decision making for years now. Time for a change/new blood.

It's true, he would try out more guys mid-season, was more willing to give up on favorites who didn't perform, and he didn't just tie canadians down to STs roles.
I'd add as well that he used to coach to win, would whip out a few smart trick plays through out the year, and would challenge more. Even if the challenge was to back up a player, or to make the refs look at a problematic area they weren't calling, even if it wouldn't be over turned. At each step, success has made him softer.

If you look back, they used to make more changes to the line up. It has become more stagnant in recent years.
